Description

Working with the Vice President & General Manager of the FTAP Business Unit ($600M Revenue). This position is responsible for leading the Pall FTAP Global Process Engineering & Program Management functions. The successful candidate will be responsible for standards, processes, project management, commercial engagement, quality, systems delivery, budget and organizational development.

The Vice President will be accountable to:

  • Lead the global FTAP process and project engineering teams to ensure that engineered systems projects are executed in each region on time, to budget and meet all functional and process requirements as outlined in customers’ user specification and/or described in our quotation
  • Be the Commercial lead for the Program function and liaison with the broader FTAP organization around Customer-facing issues related to specification, delivery, application or quality
  • Provide technical design guidance and ensure that FTAP process engineering’s set of guidelines is followed and fulfilled. Transfer technical and business experience and knowledge to strive for continuous improvements and optimization to all regions that are part of FTAP's process engineering organization
  • Ensure full alignment of FTAP's global engineering teams with the business objectives of the business unit
  • Lead/execute the full scope of FTAP process technology development projects in line with the specific needs of the market segments based on customer’s feedback
  • Hire, develop and retain Pall FTAP talent according to Danaher talent management processes assuring that organizational capabilities evolve and adapt to support business growth
  • Ensure the continued development for direct reports; partner closely with the human resources organization in developing organizational capabilities through succession planning, organizational assessment, identification of key skill gaps, talent acquisition and talent development strategies that link with business goals
  • Understand the performance and development planning process. Track performance progress against objectives, handling gaps with appropriate action plans
  • Line Management Responsibility: Leader of all process engineering resources including project and process engineering teams on a global base for app. 100 individuals (direct plus indirect)
  • Build positive relationships with team members; understand what they value and support them in achieving their development goals; coach the team to improve their network and identify challenging / stretch roles or projects to support career progression
  • Manage the FTAP process engineering budget (capital and expenses) defined/agreed upon by the VP/GM of FTAP
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Professional Experience and Qualifications

The ideal candidate has experience leading at the senior executive level and must be an experienced, hands-on, strategic thinker and doer with a demonstrated track record of success, preferably within the Process Engineering and/or Program Management fields.

Experience

  • 10 years of progressive process engineering, commercial or program management experience preferably in international (Americas region) markets
  • 5+ years of management experience in a leadership role
  • 5+ years of Commercial experience in technical selling & B2B relationship management
  • Experience with project management/project execution of all key operation.
  • Leadership experience (technically and organizationally)
  • Outstanding ability to build teams serving the market
  • Demonstrated ability to make decisions based on data and analysis of valid data
  • Experience working with technical teams

Education

A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or technical field is required and an M.B.A. is desirable.
