  • Overview:
    Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Vice President of FP&A, is a key contributor to the overall success of the company and will provide financial and business leadership to the organization as well as talent development of the FP&A team. This position works closely with Commercial and Operations global and regional leadership teams to develop and execute strategies that drive growth and profitability. The VP will be responsible for leading the global FP&A function, the development of the strategic and annual operating plans, financial forecasts, management reports and overseeing manufacturing finance including cost accounting and supporting a wide range of analyses. S/he will be responsible for implementing the systems, processes, and controls to drive financial discipline in decision making and driving a culture of financial accountability.

    The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in corporate and operations finance in a manufacturing organization and an in-depth FP&A background with a demonstrated track record of leading the teams to compile and analyze information and provide deep insights that enable optimal business decision making. In addition, we are looking for a strong leader who conveys the energy and credibility to accomplish our goals and the experience to lead and mentor a rapidly growing organization. It is assumed that an experienced candidate has previous Controllership experience and is well versed in proper GAAP principles.

    The VP FP&A is a key member of the finance leadership team and will be expected to identify and drive financial performance improvement initiatives across the company.
    • Lead and oversee strategic and annual operating plans, quarterly and monthly forecast updates, predictive analytics, internal reporting and performance management against projections.
    • Drive the budgeting processes and optimize expense management within the business, driving efficiencies and ensuring that investments are suitably analyzed and operational costs appropriately controlled.
    • Support the month end accounting close processes and lead the preparation of all financial materials for management and operational reviews as well reporting to Danaher Corporate.
    • Lead the development and monitoring of key operational metrics to drive financial performance. Identify and pursue process/profitability improvements across the company.
    • Embed a culture of proactive risk management across the organization and provide regular insights on financial performance risks/opportunities and advise on business options to ensure meeting/exceeding of corporate goals.
    • Manage the company P&L to ensure we meet and achieve all of our performance targets and ensure leadership has visibility into risks and opportunities
    • Provide thought leadership and vision to the finance team in the development of business intelligence and financial planning tools and processes.
    • Act as a thought leader by providing analytical insight and perspective to senior management. Proactively assess new business opportunities and their impact to the financial and business goals of the company.
    • Partner with General Accounting to ensure a culture of integrity and controllership. Will also drive timeliness, accuracy, and compliance of financial reporting for both internal management purposes and corporate reporting.
    • Provide leadership to the FP&A team, constantly raising the bar of expectation and develop a world class organization, establish global best practices and instill a culture that emphasizes accountability, integrity and transparency

Job Requirements


  • Minimum requirements/qualifications:
    • B.S. degree preferably in finance or accounting. MBA and/or CPA preferred. with 20+ years of related work experience
    • A minimum of  12 years of relevant experience in a complex, multinational, multi-site environment. Experience working in a matrixed organization and a manufacturing environment highly desirable.
    • Experience in implementing and/or managing financial planning tools and processes.
    • Deep understanding of US GAAP and fundamental understanding of cost accounting practices.
    • Continuous improvement mentality. Ability to challenge the norms and existing processes.
    • Strong leadership skills with experience in growing and leading a high-performance team.
    • Superior analytical and problem-solving skills, with demonstrated intellectual and analytical rigor
    • Ability to demonstrate effective leadership in ambiguous and frequently changing situations
