Description

To strengthen the Kongsberg based R&D group with VAVE (Value Added Value Engineering) team in Brno, we are seeking an mechatronic engineer with a strong focus on quality, reliability and cost. You will become a member in our new team working with VAVE. The main focus will be redesign of existing solutions for improvement of quality and cost reduction. The R&D environment is LEAN based, cross functional and international with Kongsberg as the center of knowledge.

Your responsibilities?
  • In and R&D environment characterized by the high focus on innovation, quality and on-time-delivery. You will be part of a cross functional project team performing analysis of existing equipment, discover points that can be improved. Redesign based on the analysis with the main purpose to improve quality, reduce cost and modernize design. Test, verification of the updated material and preparation for production.
Key activities:
  • using VAVE-KAIZEN PROCESS:
  1. find, analyze, evaluate and develop a VAVE funnel
  2. perform validation of the funnel and pick concepts with potential
  3. find relevant data and calculate the ROI of each project
  • developing concept design in quick iterations, build, test and verify prototypes
  • detail design of mechanical and electronical parts and assemblies
  • perform design reviews
  • stay updated on the last technologies

Job Requirements



Qualifications

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor degree or Master degree in Engineering - mechatronics preffered(mechanical, electrical, sw)
  • 3D CAD experience, Creo (Schematics) preferred
  • Good English skills, both spoken and written
  • experience in mechatronics will be well received
  • understanding of Design for Reliability systems, including Failure Mode Effect Analysis
  • good knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes such as welding, machining and assembly
  • VAVE experience welcomed
