Performs customer support activities including routine instrument cleaning, husbandry and health checks for Hach supplied equipment  on customer sites. Working on a wide range of customer installs across many industries, with a focus on the municipal waste water and effluent customer base. Ideally the candidate is based in Central Belt of Scotland and can demonstrate good communication skills, logical stock control of Van supplies and have the ability to travel to a customer base across the UK. 

  • To carry out instrumentation general husbandry / cleaning and operational health checks at customer sites working in premises throughout the UK and on occasion in Ireland.
  • To receive and control stock within the company supplied van, providing a mobile parts hub for the field service Engineers currently in operation.
  • To have the ability to travel distances and lodge away in hotels as required to be effective within the role.
  • To prepare service reports and keep necessary service records.
  • To carry out or assist with other duties by agreement with the Supervisor and Service Manager.

Job Requirements


  • A “can do” flexible attitude is required to be successful.
  • Having a general electrical, electronic, mechanical interest.
  • Able to use a PC for report writing and job task closure.
  • Having a friendly approach to customers and their requirements.
  • Developing the ability to work alone or alongside others as part of a team.Willingness  and flexibility to travel and lodge out.
  • The physical fitness to undertake an at times physically challenging role.
  • A  Full and clean driving license is required for this role.
