Description

  • POSITION SUMMARY:
    Responsible for managing and growing all Cepheid business in non-acute (non-hospital) healthcare markets and for coordinating all associated company activity within an assigned geography for both existing and prospective accounts including, but not limited to, Health System Clinics, regional and local reference laboratories, large multi-specialty clinics, women's clinics, other physician office laboratories college and university student health centers long term care facilities, STD clinics, urgent care/walk-in clinics, jails/prisons, and free standing emergency departments.

    ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Responsible for developing and closing sales via distribution and with direct sales teams in Physician Offices labs, Regional Reference Labs, Urgent Care, Student Health, Community Health Centers, and Health Systems.
    • Introducing new testing concepts and products to the non-acute market.
    • Developing and delivering presentations and proposals. Attending, hosting and assisting regional meetings and product shows.
    • Prospecting and recruiting sales personnel.
    • Utilizing DBS tools such as Funnel Management, Action Plans, Problem Solving Process and other relevant growth tools.
    • Cultivate strong working relationships within all distribution channels to promote and sell Cepheid's Value Proposition.
    • Manage without authority within distributor sales teams to encourage the promotion of Cepheid instruments and testing applications.
    • Work with distribution channels to deliver presentations and proposals.
    • Host and assist with distribution sales meetings and related trade shows.
    • Manage customer data in the company CRM.
    • Partner Internally with Acute and Health Systems Teams to optimize health system test standardization from Core Lab to clinics
    • Manage Robust Funnel Management via Sales Force
    • Achieve instrument and reagent sales goals.
    • Travel up to 75% of time

Qualifications

  • MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

    Education and Experience (in years):
    • Bachelor’s degree in with 5+ years of related sales experience in via Distribution, clinical laboratory, and/or life science markets experience OR
    • Master’s degree in with 3+ years of related sales experience in via Distribution, clinical laboratory, and/or life science markets experience OR
    • Doctoral degree in with 0-2 years of related sales experience in via Distribution, clinical laboratory, and/or life science markets experience.
    • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a fast-paced Medical Device industry, or high volume manufacturing environment.
    Other:
    • Introducing new testing concepts and products to the non-acute market.
    • Developing and delivering presentations and proposals. Attending, hosting and assisting regional meetings and product shows.
    • Prospecting and recruiting sales personnel.
