Quality Control Technician

  • Description
  • This individual will be responsible for the following:  the inspection of instrument components per direction of pre-defined inspection plans. Reading and understanding part drawings to use as the guideline for part inspections. Use appropriate hand gages and fixtures as required for individual part inspections. Enter appropriate quality data into pre-defined computer programs to identify acceptance or rejection condition of the material. Record and identify non-conformance data into the applicable databases and electronically transfer material appropriately based on acceptance or rejection status. Support the MRB process by carrying out appropriate disposition. Handling and packaging of parts will be required on a regular basis. Work in a team environment to ensure accurate and consistent results to our customers.

Job Requirements


  • Qualified individuals will have the following:  a strong inspection background with experience using calipers, micrometers, pin gages, surface plate and height stand, and other traditional inspection tools. The ability to read and comprehend part prints with at least a basic understanding of GD&T fundamentals. Basic math and computer skills with excellent written and verbal communication skills. Individual must be detail oriented, quality conscious, and have an aptitude for maintaining accurate records. A desire and ability to work in team oriented environment, open to change and capable of identifying production and/or quality issues. The ability to work with small intricate parts and the focus to understand and adhere to company policies and procedures. Experience working with a CMM machine for inspection is a plus. Experience working with ERP systems such as Oracle or SAP is a plus. High school diploma or GED required. Candidates must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
