Description

POSITION SUMMARY: 
This position provides technical support for the Operations group or is responsible for Facility maintenance. The Technician II identifies problems and implements corrective actions leading to continuous improvement.  Certain positions are responsible for installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of facilities’ equipment, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, security, and grounds.   

The Technician II must strive toward significantly impacting areas of support and attainment of established metrics. Focus for this position is not only on technical abilities, but on ability to convey knowledge and interact with others.

HOURS: Monday-Friday 6:00 AM-2:30 PM. Overtime may be required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Perform maintenance, installation, and improvement tasks (systems dependent on focus).
  • Provide training and documentation as needed for end users.
  • Perform or coordinate review and calibration of equipment.
  • Perform troubleshooting of problems.
  • Provide or request purchased tools and equipment as authorized.
  • Coordinate the implementation of tools, jigs, and fixtures as needed.
  • Provide for support and maintenance.
  • Coordinate and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Coordinate and complete preventive maintenance activities.
  • Coordination of efforts with other teams.
  • Collect data and transform into information for use by other associates of
  • varying technological backgrounds and skill levels.
  • Lead projects or events.
  • Lead, or assist lead with Kaizen events. 
  • Required to work off-shift or Saturday, as needed, to support production or to maximize up-time on machinery/processes.

OTHER NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements



Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associates Degree in related field, or appropriate background with related work experience preferred.
  • 3 or more years’ experience repairing CNC equipment, Injection molding equipment, SMT equipment or related mechanical equipment.
  • Must be able to troubleshoot/problem solve in a structured, logical manner.
  • Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with all associates
  • Ability to lead and manage projects or events
  • The ability to read and comprehend engineering drawings and other technical information required to perform the assigned task work.
  • Combination of office skills and hands-on activities: required to lift and move equipment and materials up to 50 lbs. on a daily basis.
  • Ability to perform public speaking/presentations in an effective manner.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office tools such as Spreadsheets, Word Processors, and Data Bases.
  • Ability to transform data into reports.
