The Medical equipment Technical Support Specialist provides technical assistance and training to Radiometer America customers and associates

  • Provide client support and technical issue resolution to customers, and primarily field service and sales associates via phone, E-Mail and other electronic medium.
  •  Configuration of client's equipment to provide reporting and interface functions. 
  •  Configure equipment software to connect to other Radiometer application and equipment. 
  •  Identify bottleneck in departmental business functions initiate corrective action through influence and report on same.  
  •  Maintain understanding of OS and application operations related to company offered products and services. 
  •  Identify and correct or advise, on operational issues in Radiometer products used in client systems. 
  • Document for regulatory purposes all customer contact related to problem or complaint identification, correction and prevention  
  •  Participate in Sales and Service field travel.
  •  Effectively manage unexpected situations.
  •  Ability to work independently.
  •  Perform light lifting 25lbs. 

  • Demonstrated expertise on 2 of 5 classifications (Laboratory ABG, NPT ABG, TCM, AQT, IT)  of Radiometer Products and Services (Preferred) and/or 5 years demonstrated experience in both Field Service and Technical Support environments. 
  •  Proficient in Internet related applications such as E-Mail clients, FTP clients and Web Browsers.
  •  Prioritize identified escalated accounts and issues and drive to root cause.
  •  Ability to manage investigations with members outside of authority and create a degree of followership to drive an investigation to completion.
  •  2 years experience in leadership position demonstrating the ability to lead through influence and example. 
  •  Excellent communication (oral and written), interpersonal, organizational, and presentation skills. 
  •  Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Job Requirements


Basic Qualifications:
  • AS or BS degree in computer or electronic engineering from college or technical school; minimum 5 yrs related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of bench repair experience or electronic device repair 
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with hardware and software issues. 
  • Proficient in Internet related applications such as E-Mail clients, FTP clients and Web Browsers.
  • Knowledge of Contact Management systems; Database software; Internet software and Word Processing software.
