Description

The Technical Support Specialist provides technical assistance and training to Radiometer America customers and associates
  • Provide client support and technical issue resolution to customers, and primarily field service and sales associates via phone, E-Mail and other electronic medium.
  • Configuration of client's equipment to provide reporting and interface functions. 
  • Configure equipment software to connect to other Radiometer application and equipment.   
  • Obtain general understanding of OS and application operations related to company offered products and services. 
  • Identify and correct or advise, on operational issues in Radiometer products used in client systems. 
  • Document for regulatory purposes all customer contact related to problem or complaint identification, correction and prevention  
  • Perform light lifting 25lbs.

Job Requirements



Qualifications

  • Associates Degree
  • Experience with hardware and software issues
  • Proficient in Internet related applications such as E-Mail clients, File Transfer Protocol (FTP) clients and Web Browsers
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite 
  • Knowledge of Contact Management systems; Database software; Internet software and Word Processing software
  • Excellent communication (oral and written), interpersonal, organizational, and presentation skills 
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. 
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public 

Preferred:
  • Associate Degree (or higher) in Computer Technology or Electronic Engineering or MLT from college or technical school or Military Certificate of completion in related field

Travel (required estimated % of time)

Mathematical Skills: 
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Reasoning Ability: 
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
