The primary role of this position is to provide a combination of direct sales management and technical application support, including training and development/delivery of technical sales tools to customers, distribution channels, sales and internal technical support staff. The position will also support the cultivation of key account relationships, prospecting for new business and implementation of strategies to increase sales of new and existing XOS products. 



• Own the sales number for the assigned direct sales region

• Prospect, network and cold call for potential new clients and turn this into increased business

• Build relationships with new clients and KOL’s to execute first time sales (first time for customer or first time for product) Provide a resource of high-level technical consulting ability related to industrial

• Work closely with regional team to fully understand the industry trends and customer needs and in turn find new business opportunities for XOS products

• Execute strategy to sell XOS products to customers not actively served by current XOS distributor network

• Develop rapport and establish strategic relationships in existing markets

• Effectively build a short/medium/long term sales pipeline and manage the necessary levels of sales leads and opportunities.

• Collect and develop information in the form of sales tools (value sell documents, application notes, quick reference sale notes, etc.).

• generation of product literature and where appropriate issue and present scientific papers. 

Application Support:

• Perform application and product training and associated application technical support activities for customers, distributors, representatives, and direct/inside sales teams

• Provide a resource of high-level technical consulting ability related to industrial applications

• Present technical training at seminars, trade shows and other relevant industry events.

• Compile results of these tests and generate application notes, provide technical support for generation of product literature and where appropriate issue and present scientific papers. 

• Respond to all types of customer technical inquiries in the application of the product(s)

Required Skills/Experience:

• Ability to create/execute a metric driven sales strategy focused on creating new opportunities

• Hands-on analytical instruments laboratory or related applications engineering experience. 

• Ability to develop strategic accounts in coordination with Business Development Manager

• Proven ability in selling and managing a highly technical product

• Proven experience negotiating and value selling

• Proven track record of success driving a product line and gaining widespread adoption

Desired Skills/Experience: 

• 2-5 years experience in petroleum refining process

• 2-5 years experience working with refinery customers to understand problems and drive solution selling of XOS Analyzers 

• experience


• Technical understanding of petroleum industry

• High school diploma required. Preferred science or engineering degree with chemical specialization.
