Description

The Technical Inside Sales is the primary support resource for our customers, partners and outside sales team. They are responsible for working collaboratively with the outside sales team as a technical advisor and product advocate. The Technical Inside Sales must be able to identify and provide reliable solutions for all commercial and technical issues to assure complete customer satisfaction.
Support outside sales team in executing and achieving their territory and market business plans.
  • Perform actions generated after a sales visit (quotations, answers on technical queries,…) 
  • Provide technical support after or in preparation of a sales visit
  • Provide first line technical support by phone to customers.
  • Contact customers to check information & generate leads for outside sales
  • Travel (occasionally) with outside Sales Team to support presentation and trade show activities or attend external meetings/training
  • Direct follow up of small accounts and engineering contractors
  • Internal updating on new applications or technical issues at customers
  • Administrative tasks, including complaint registrations
  • Dispatching and coordination of mails/information/calls to the right persons
  • Identify and communicate customer's needs and sales opportunities to help future growth 
Manage commercial processes for quotation
  • Contact customers to check missing or unclear technical parameters
  • Collect necessary technical information, prices & lead times
  • Calculation of dimensions (sizing) and prices (margins)
  • Prepare quotations
  • Follow up of quotations & Answering additional technical questions 
Extensive interaction with customers via phone and email 
  • Develop a close relationship with customers to provide them with the best possible level of service
  • Define the best technical solutions for their specific applications
  • Resolve technical support requests or issues related to product selection, application, specification, installation, etc...
  • Perform sales enquiries 
  • Give first line commercial support to customers for questions on project status
Technical knowledge 
  • Update job knowledge by studying new product descriptions; participating in educational opportunities.
  • Update databases on technical descriptions
  • Manage quote & contract templates
  • Close interaction with internal engineering, marketing and product specialist (design of customized goods, design checks,…)

  • Master in Bioscience and Engineering
  • Languages Dutch/French/English   
  • Self-starter and self-motivated
  • Ability to plan and organize work
  • Good communication skills, both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to operate as a member of a multidisciplinary team
