Description

Position Summary:

The purpose of the role is to expand sales presence predominantly in the UK and partially in Germany.The Technical Inside Sales Specialist will increase Fortebio’s awareness and carry out early-stage sales activity including prospecting for new leads, lead qualification in order to enhance funnel addition. The position will also be providing technical and commercial support to customers, distributors and our field based Sales Team, within Fortebio sector.

Main Duties:
  • Execute prospection and telemarketing campaigns in line with sales and marketing requirements
  • First line response to incoming leads qualification and dispatch to field sales team
  • Follow services and service contract expiries and sell renewals 
  • Assist outside team with Sales Quotes / Credit checks etc
  • Verify shipping’s and revenue recognition
  • Use customer information to select and size appropriate Pall Products, and liaise with manufacturing for customised solutions. 
  • Provide customers with quotations and support in a timely manner.
  • Follow up quotations to secure orders.
  • Maintain computerised records of activities and store them within the appropriate system databases:
  • Liaise with other Pall facilities to meet customer requirements.
  • Deal with Customer Technical and / or Commercial queries and complaints.
  • Ensure that all enquiries and orders are dealt with in accordance with the quality manual.
  • Contract review of orders for correct price, part numbers and conditions.
Additional Individual Tasks:
  • Analyse a prospective customer’s interest in purchase, timeline, product type and take action accordingly.
  • Decide when to hand off prospect to field sales manager for more intimate nurturing.
  • Determine nurture stage of marketing qualified leads.
  • Make a plan about which accounts to target for sales prospecting and choose an appropriate approach.

Qualifications

Position Competencies:
  • Knowledge and Skills:
    • Deep knowledge of protein science, proteomics or molecular biology is preferred but not essential.
    • Ability to prospect over phone.
    • Ability to research and find new companies / contacts.
    • Ability to maintain a detailed action tracking in CRM.
    • Independent, self-driven.
    • Excellent people skills.
    • Fluent in English
  • Education:
    • BSc/MSc in Biochemistry / Biophysics /  Biology or related field is preferred.
  • Work Experience Required:
    • 2-3 years of Inside Sales experience is preferred but candidates with the right technical background, looking to gain entry into Sales are also welcome to apply.
    • Experience with biophysical applications, HPLC, ELISA, label-free technologies or molecular biology-related instruments is preferred but not essential
