Beckman Coulter is a Danaher company, operating in two industries: Diagnostics and Life Sciences. 


The candidate will join the immunoassay technical support team based in Chaska, MN.  The Technical Applications Scientist works closely with marketing, development, and manufacturing associates on project teams to ensure our products meet the expectations of our customers and our global support organization.  The individual plays a critical role in providing customer support and transferring knowledge of new or current product design elements to the global support organization through the development of technical documentation, training materials and troubleshooting tools. 

The successful candidate must demonstrate working knowledge of clinical laboratory operational requirements; understand statistical techniques and risk management; effectively work in cross-functional team settings; able to collaborate with hospitals, clinics, and reference laboratories including key opinion leaders; and demonstrate a sense of urgency and commitment to global customers and support specialists. 

To be successful in this position the candidate must demonstrate the following:

Job Requirements


Bachelor’s degree in medical technology, clinical laboratory science, or related field with 5+ years exp. OR  Master’s degree in field with 3+ years exp OR Doctoral degree in field with 0-2+ years exp.

• 3 years of clinical or research laboratory experience preferred

• Prior technical support experience preferred

• Proficient with Microsoft applications, including but not limited to Word, Excel, and Powerpoint

• Ability to travel globally as needed
