Technical Applications Specialist Data Management Systems – UK North (Field Based)





To provide exceptional applications, hardware, software and support for Beckman Coulter’s customers using our Data Management Systems Middleware solutions & products.



  • Reporting to the UK and Ireland Workflow and IT Solutions (WITS) Data Management Supervisor, the Technical Specialist provides onsite customer support and is the main face of the company to our customers.

  • This position will be instrumental in providing a high level of support, requiring close interaction with the customer and colleagues to maintain a quality service.

  • Adhering to customer focused strategies to achieve business goals, increase customer satisfaction and position Service Support as a positive sales differentiator in an ever increasingly competitive market.

  • Achieve departmental goals and objectives, enabling Beckman Coulter to meet its business goals and positioning our service support as a positive sales differentiator in an increasingly competitive market.

Job Requirements



  • Previous experience in a multidisciplinary clinical laboratory with a knowledge of Quality Assurance would be advantageous.

  • Pathology and hospital LIS exposure would be advantageous.

  • A minimum HVQ (or equivalent) in a relevant technical subject.

  • Experience with Good interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively both internally and externally at all levels.

  • Full, Clean Driving licence

  • This position is located in the North of England where you will be expected to travel within your specified area. Although there may be times when additional travel will be required within the UK.

  • You will be responsible for delivering data management systems training at our facilities located in the south of the UK and onsite on occasions in your territory as and when required.

  • Successful candidate will be working as part of a technical support team who are the day to day face of Beckman Coulter working within the customer haematology and or biochemistry laboratories.

  • This position is full time, five days a week. The five working days will be flexible to include Saturday and Sunday as and when the Company requires.
