Essential Duties, Critical Success Factors, Responsibilities, Authorities and Required Interactions:

  • Active involvement in service contract renewals, warranty and billable conversions to achieve service order, revenue and profit targets. Work closely together with the commercial organization (sales, support & customer service) to meet upfront service and sales revenue targets.
  • Be the trusted advisor for our customers to ensure professional relationship and advise the customer the correct service solution to achieve customer loyalty and ensure highest level of customer satisfaction.
  • Manages the team and drive the behavior in order to achieve the highest individual and team performance by setting individual targets and cascading the overall service targets into the bonus scheme.
  • Develop, track targets and execute effective reviews to drive compensation changes for engineers.
  • Communicate effectively with the team to share information and to ensure high levels of motivation.
  • Identify any issues within the team and develop sustainable countermeasures
  • Performs service activities within guidelines and in compliance with internal & customer procedures and regulations. This includes: Installation, reparation, maintenance and instruction of SCIEX workflows use to ensure safe and effective customer operations. Provides responsive telephone and on-site support and generally work to ensure that customers are successful in the use of SCIEX workflows.
  • Demonstrates willingness to be involved in projects and take on additional responsibilities outside normal job description.
  • Advises and coaches engineers
  • Demonstrates effective time management by co-ordinating work schedule with relevant partners (customer services, regional managers and colleagues) and produces timely administration, including providing accurate service reports of own customer related activities.  Maintains ownership of SCIEX assets including spare parts, company car, tools, software, laptop, tool calibrations and literature


Job Requirements


Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

Professional qualification in electronic/mechanical engineering, life science or chemistry. Computer literate in Windows™ and Networking. Excellent verbal and written command of the German and English language. High technical understanding of SCIEX product portfolio and service offerings.

Troubleshooting knowledge and experience

Commercially astute with a strong focus on results

Strong leadership and management skills

Excellent communicative and social skills

Proven Service-Administrative Track record

Substantial experience in a technical service function

Additional Requirements:

Home based function. Willingness to travel. Driving license is essential.
