Description

The Team Leader of Finished Goods Warehouse is responsible for the storage, packing, and outgoing of materials, spare parts, and instruments or equipment to meet customer expectations. These processes involve shipping as well as inventory/material control. 

The Team Leader will perform manual and/or clerical duties that may utilize various systems involved in preparation of materials for shipment. This person will perform a wide variety of planning, scheduling, coordinating, and reporting tasks in support of the outgoing finished goods workflow. This person will maintain compliance with local, country, and international guidelines and has responsibility for fulfillment administration and processes. The Team Leader will oversee a team of 5-6 employees so effective communication and leadership skills are crucial for this role. 

Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of shop floor associates by providing right direction and coaching. This also includes disciplinary activities like annual performance ratings and reviews with permanent subordinates
  • Plan work assignment and daily tasks
  • Take care of cleanliness and order (5S) in the warehouse
  • Improvement is in our genes: identifying improvement areas and managing the implementation of change
  • Act in the role as a “Superuser” for ORACLE EBS 12 with deep, broad and specific knowledge
  • Overseeing, planning, and controlling all material flows in the FG warehouse including material storage, material replenishment, labeling, and pick- and pack- processes
  • Applying DBS (Danaher Business System) methods in order to manage the team to highest performance
  • Regularly checking for overstock and stock reduction opportunities and managing them
  • Regularly checking and evaluating the quality of the Kanban replenishment systems
  • Performing weekly cycle counts, commenting on the results and starting problem solving for major target misses

Job Requirements



Qualifications

  • Education as a Warehouse Technician (Fachlagerist geprüft) with a minimum of 7 years of working experience in a warehouse environment
  • At least 4 years of experience in team leadership/management
  • Experience in one or more functional responsibilities (e.g. safety responsible person, work tools responsible person , etc.) where it was required to act on one’s own judgment without request
  • Experience in any ERP system, preferable in ORACLE EBS
  • Good Excel skills, Office Applications are a must
  • Must have working proficiency in spoken and written German and English language
