– During this internship, you will have an opportunity to work on the backbone of the supply chain for Cepheid. This includes some of the business processes, process tools and, the data analytics that lead to decision making. Additionally, you will be interfacing with cross functional stakeholders and suppliers.
– Projects and Project management opportunities will include establishing data analytics and processes for managing Purchase Price Variance and Inventory Management for the Cepheid Instrument hardware.
– Establishing a consistent report on Supplier performance and Supplier Profile Summaries

Supplier Rationalization:  Review two to three commodity categories and determine the opportunity and ROI on the consolidation of supply to a strategic supply base.

Supply Chain Performance:  Develop a single page performance dashboard for Instruments that is based on objective data utilizing the ERP system to derive the data.  Areas such as; Cost, On Time Delivery, Quality, Manufacturing performance, etc.

Supply Change Project Management:  Manage schedule and Supply Chain deliverables for Instrument projects that encompass Supplier Change, ROI Analysis, and subsequent qualification.

Job Requirements


-          Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, Manufacturing, Data Analytics, Applied Science or Statistics.

-          Strong Excel skills.

-          Interest in supply chain and operations.
