Description

This position is responsible for driving daily execution of the plant’s “On Time Delivery” metric and driving problem solving of daily OTD misses.  In addition, this person is responsible for defining and managing inventory levels of raw materials.  Lastly, he/she is responsible for using data to build and improve process muscle for the plant to improve performance.

Essential Functions: 
  • Run backlog report daily
  • Drive action to ensure orders ship on time
  • Drive problem solving for new past due orders
  • Build pareto of OTD or inventory misses and implement countermeasures for use in leading the weekly OTD Review
  • Review demand history for use in maintaining proper Min-Max levels
  • Own key metrics in OTD, Part Shortage, Min-Max, and Inventory
  • Manage expedite/info requests from global service and order management teams
  • Create weekly IMAG and OTD Reports
  • Assist in building inventory process muscle for the customization group
  • Serve as a Backup to the Instrument Master Scheduler
  • Work with carriers and finance to collect and analyze global inbound and outbound freight costs monthly
  • Work on cost reduction projects for inbound and outbound freight
  • Lead other projects as assigned by Management

Job Requirements



Qualifications

  • B.S. degree in Supply Chain Management plus 2-3 years of materials analyst, planning experience, or freight logistics; OR 4+ years of materials analyst, planning experience or freight logistics.  
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage several tasks and priorities 
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills required (including pivot tables, macros, and formulas)
  • Strong analytical skills and strong attention to detail
  • Results-oriented / data-driven mentality
  • Strong communication skills
  • Team Player 
  • Proactive / Problem Solver
  • Fast learner
  • Prefer 2-3 years of experience using Oracle or other large ERP system
