The Supervisor, Production Operations provides leadership, planning and analysis to maintain production and minimize downtime.  

Responsibilities & Duties:
  • Develop and execute production strategies to reach short and long term strategic operational goals
  • Develop and implement manufacturing procedures and allocate labor and capital resources to maximize productivity
  • Analyze production, maintenance, and malfunction records to identify problems and recommend solutions (for example changes to procedures, workflow, or equipment) that will improve performance
  • Plan, prioritize, and manage production line maintenance or downtimes to minimize disruptions to manufacturing schedules
  • Collaborate with Quality and Manufacturing Engineer to ensure production process is optimized to deliver throughput and quality specifications and KPI’s
  • Develop and maintain an effective organization through recruiting, selecting, coaching and providing performance objectives/reviews.
  • Responsible to ensure new hires are properly trained on equipment and work procedures. Ensure cross-training and development opportunities are implemented.
  • Lead, direct, evaluate, and develop a team of Production associates who are responsible for various production activities such as assembly, processing, or packaging
  • Manage team in daily operations, supervise Production throughput, and collaborate with Operations Leadership to address deviations from specifications, SOP or performance KPI’s
  • Provide recurring reports on manufacturing operations, throughput, staffing and other operational aspects, as requested
  • Lead work environment initiatives to ensure a safe and productive work environment which meets all applicable laws and regulation
  • Assure compliance with FDA Quality System Regulations (QSR), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and ISO regulatory requirements. 
  • Assist with developing work instructions and standard operating procedures.  Prepare for internal and external quality audits.  Review audit results and trends.

Job Requirements


Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience
  • High school degree with 8+ years’ experience OR
  • Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years’ experience; preferably in business, science or engineering.
  • 2+ years experience in a similar leadership position in a manufacturing setting

Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience
  • Execution and result oriented
  • Experience in lean manufacturing/continuous improvement
  • Experience coaching and mentoring manufacturing team members
  • Team oriented individual comfortable in cross-functional environment
  • Proficient in MS office, Oracle experience a plus
  • Previous experience in medical device or other regulated industry preferred
  • Data and trend analysis experience a plus
  • Must be able to work 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM
