Position Summary:
  • Provide Sourcing professional activities to FTAP division and Capital Goods in Americas, to achieve the best terms and conditions of Purchase of all 3rd party supplied product and services during the bid cycle. To manage the order execution of funded projects including but not limited to managing project spend within budget, supplier negotiation, supplier selection, supplier management such as approval/assessment/performance review. To report on these and related subjects to the Sourcing management, and regional management.
  • Make market survey and set up sourcing strategies, to support the FTAP Capital Goods Sales and Application engineer team with on time delivery and on budget projection
  • Develop a local supply base and the appropriate relationship with the suppliers that supports the overall goals of the business.
  • Complete their jobs effectively and efficiently within the boundaries of the global Sourcing Policies and Procedures.
  • Undertake and or contribute to ongoing Sourcing initiatives to improve the competitive position of Pall in its chosen markets.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Manage ‘supplier bid activity’ through the clarification stage, work with other members of the Pall bid or implementation team to ensure that there is full understanding of the requirements by the suppliers. / Where multiple suppliers are being compared, ensure all technical clarifications are published to the completing vendors to ensure common understanding. Ensure this is completed in a timely manner to meet the demands of the bid of projects. (30%)
  • Retain at all times the responsibility and accountability for all commercial negotiations and agreements with respect to the terms and conditions of supply. No project or service PO may be released to unapproved suppliers. / Assist the sales and sales technical support team in providing final negotiation and supplier selection / For all projects handled by Sourcing, maintain Proposal Trackers with reviewing and updating regular basis. (20%)
  • Update and maintain Approved Supplier Database to ensure there are correct and approved entries for all current suppliers and for any supplier used over the past years for projects and service. / Establish the company requirements for new suppliers in Americas region to satisfy the changing demands of Pall System, Capital Goods and Services. Ensure that multiple competent suppliers are available in the geographic areas to support the company requirements. / Identify and enter any new suppliers required for Americas region to the approved supplier database by obtaining the information requested in the Questionnaires and information requests included in the standard documentation section. Ensure that there is singed copy of any appropriated NDA for all such suppliers in the database, and ensure to maintain vendor master in SAP. (20%)
  • Lead and manage the extension of the payment terms initiative with all suppliers. / Maintain Master Supply Agreements with suppliers of repeated product and services to ensure supplier responsiveness and best on-going terms and conditions for Pall. / Managing E-reverse auction system during bids (20%)
  • Lead projects working closely with STS, Sales, and Operation team to manage projects successfully without fail / Meet given KPIs (5%)
  • Compliance to all Corporate, Americas and local controls and procedures in the company. To highlight immediately should there be any conflict with these and the instructions you may have received so that this can be corrected. / Provide information regarding Supply Chain matters to management as and when requested in a timely, precise and succinct manner / Participate in Supply Chain and Corporate initiatives to improve working methods and techniques as requested. (5%)

Job Requirements


Basic Qualifications:
  • BA Degree in Sourcing/Procurement or a mechanical engineering subject. Ideally, complemented with an MBA or procurement institute qualification
  • 7+ years experiences in Supply Chain function. 
  • Skilled practitioner with SAP and Microsoft Offices suite of tools
  • Preferably a technical engineering knowledge for internal/external communication.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Pressure vessel sourcing experience in Oil & Gas industries
  • Organized and methodical approach with a strong attention to detail and compliance.
  • Effective analytical skills and decision making to provide sound commercial recommendations, problems solving and time management.
  • Ability to work autonomously, effectively within a team and in cross-functional teams whilst recognizing when it is appropriate to escalate an issue to management. 
  • Time management and prioritizing of multiple projects, tasks and time-lines to meet demand
  • Strong commercial acumen
  • Highly organized self-starter with ability to communicate in a professional and positive manner
  • Dealing with and understanding multi-disciplinary teams and technology experts to rationalize the commercial implications of any issues that may arise.
