Description

This individual will serve as the America’s Strategic Sourcing Manager for Information Technologies (IT), Travel, Fleet and Professional Services (HR and Finance), encompassing >$50M of PVO (spend) across twelve facilities within the America’s region. This individual will be assigned to M&A project teams wherein he/she will perform various due diligence activities from a Strategic Sourcing perspective as well as create, implement, and monitor various related integration plans and activities. This professional position will provide the leadership, strategy and appropriate level of tactical execution plans for the category. 

Responsible to identify, manage, develop, and align all Strategic Sourcing tasks related to IT, Travel, Fleet and Professional Services (HR and Finance) requirements. Which are to include significant interaction with internal functions to provide Global Sourcing, Outsourcing and Supplier to Supplier transitions, in line with corporate strategy.

This professional position will be responsible to create, and implement such strategies while supporting overall strategy of Pall’s global Strategic Sourcing organization, and its related objectives in alignment cross-functionally. This individual will be responsible for performance to the various KPI’s of Strategic Sourcing; including but not limited to Net Deflation, Cost Reduction, Margin Enhancement, DPO/Supplier Payables, Working Capital, e-Auctions, and Supplier Performance / metrics. 

This individual will manage key supplier relationships, negotiate critical supply contracts, including assembling and analyzing market data, evaluating supply alternatives and crafting negotiating strategies. This individual will champion continuous development of suppliers to meet Palls “Preferred/Qualified Suppliers” (Forward Procurement List), work in conjunction with business units and suppliers to identify that business objectives are strategically sourced in order to achieve most optimal product / service cost. This individual will support, monitor, evaluate, and mentor the Regional Indirect Strategic Sourcing team members while ensuring policies and procedures regarding compliance, commitments, early involvement, supplier selection, supplier evaluation, and supplier development related to the category are understood, and implemented.

Qualifications

Skills and Qualifications: 
  • Manages the regional strategy development, overseeing or conducting the competitive negotiation process for the America’s facilities.    
  • Evaluate existing supplier base, to establish current state. Once established, define future state / “best in class” supply chain / supplier design requirements.  
  • Uses DBS tools (Kaizen, Kanban, and other) when leading people or completing projects.
  • Interface with stakeholders and decentralized procurement teams to establish “local” site inputs and drive collaboration, delivery excellence, and a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Creation of category supplier rationalization program, with execution timeline 
  • Design, and lead contract negotiations 
  • Experience prioritizing and managing multiple projects simultaneously, negotiating successfully while still maintaining relationships, and working effectively with people at all organizational levels, internally and externally
  • Builds effective relationships and successfully partners across varied functions with internal stakeholders, external suppliers, agencies and colleagues to drive results and lead and influence change
  • Dynamic understanding of market place technologies, for adoption, and incorporation into Pall’s value proposition.  
  • Promote the use of E-Sourcing tools to reduce working capital
  • Business travel requirements up to 40%
  • Tactical strength, with the ability to support site locations (Internal Customer)
  • Highly analytical
  • Multilingual ability (both written and oral) an advantage.
  • Experienced with SAP and the usage of electronic sourcing tools for RFI, RFQ, Reverse Auction
  • Strong cultural sensitivity to manage relationships across global boundaries, and time zones.
  • STRONG leadership capabilities to deliver results, and to build cross-cultural teams

Basic Qualifications: 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Engineering, Business or applicable. 
  • 5+ years of sourcing / category management experience with an emphasis on IT and/or Professional Services  
  • Highly effective communication and facilitation skills. 
  • Proven negotiation skills, with demonstrated performance results 
  • Ability, to understand and formulate the business requirements for a commercial contract. .
