We are looking for great talent, for future opportunities.   This is an evergreen / pipeline position, to help us proactively identify potential candidates for future openings.

The Strategic Purchaser has responsibility for developing world-class suppliers to the Esko manufacturing location and also to initiate, develop and drive PPV projects to ensure that all company targets are met. 

The position requires strategic thinking to help create world-class supplier assessment and development procedures as well as the leadership and operational effectiveness to drive implementation.

Main responsibilities:

- Esko Brno and Esko Itzehoe supply chain optimization in direct material in LCR

- Deployment of PPV projects and support of VAVE projects throughout sourcing Toll Gate process to achieve total landed cost improvement savings

- Monitor and improve supplier OTD and PPM

- Support supply chain transition to LCR

- Teamwork to consolidate supplier base in both business units

- Monthly PPV/VAVE reporting and maintaining project funnel in iSource

- Performance of lean kaizen workshops in support of the continuous improvement goal

-Early engagement with the New Product Development group to implement savings targets in early stage of NPD projects

Job Requirements


- 5+ Years in procurement and manufacturing environment

- Engineering background or work experience

- Master degree in an Engineering discipline or Economics

- 5+ years of cross-functional project management experience in procurement

- Knowledge of main supply chain management KPIs

- Fluent in English

- Communication and presentation skills

- Good negotiation skills to analyse & resolve problems at functional levels

- Self-confident, self-driven
