The successful candidate will be part of the Immunoassay Technical Operations team based in Clare, Ireland, providing operational support to the Blood Virus Products. The Technical Operations Scientist will work closely with cross functional teams within the Clare facility and sites in the US and France becoming key members of new product transfer teams, ensuring our products meet the expectations of our customers and our global support organisations.

The successful candidate will perform a critical role ensuring supply of safe, reliable and effective diagnostic products to our customer, compliance of the product to product design, transferring knowledge of new or current product design elements from sister sites into Clare manufacturing facility, updating and maintaining technical documentation, and complete timely investigations to support manufacturing or validation activities.

Job Requirements


To be successful in this position the candidate must demonstrate the following:

  • Scientific background one of more of the following disciplines:

    • Biochemistry/Clinical Chemistry

    • Immunology

    • In Vitro Diagnostics.

    • Virology/Infectious Diseases

    • Bioconjugation

  • Proven Troubleshooting ability.

  • Ability to leverage critical thinking skills to solve complex challenges

  • Excellent verbal and written communication/presentation skills

  • Ability to teach system concepts to a broad audience

  • Excellent leadership abilities

  • Active listening skills

  • Objectivity when analyzing situations

  • Sense of urgency

  • Ability to lead and prioritize multiple tasks

  • Ability to lead projects in a multidisciplinary team environment.

  • Ability to identify and lead initiatives designed to improve efficiencies of processes/tools/system 

  • Minimum Travel requirements up to 10%.
