Description

We are seeking a talented & dynamic individual to fill the position of Senior Staff Accountant in Wood Dale, Illinois. This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast growing organization. The incumbent will be responsible for supporting the North America and Global Accounting team in performing the monthly, quarterly and yearly accounting functions.

Responsibilities Include: 
• Prepare and reconcile accounts within various areas of accounting. These areas may include accruals, receivables, intangibles, payables, prepaids, allowances, reserves and other areas.  
• Assist with maintaining and updating financial consolidation and reporting system (HFM).
• Assist in month end, quarter-end and year-end closing processes and in preparing schedules for corporate 10-K reporting
• Develop, implement and standardize accounting procedures by analyzing current procedures; recommending changes and works as a team with other accountants and cross functional teams
• Identify and support our continuous improvement initiatives
• Other ad-hoc requests
• Up to date on latest technical accounting pronouncements
• Self-starter, requires minimum supervision and being able to work in a matrix organization with significant cross functional interaction.

Job Requirements



Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business: Accounting concentration courses required if not an Accounting degree
• 3+ years of experience, preferably in public accounting and/or global manufacturing organization
• CPA required
• ERP experience preferred (Oracle and/or HFM preferred)
• Manufacturing experience and exposure to foreign currency revaluations is a strong plus 
• Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
