Primary Responsibilities:
  • Develop, validate and implement new methods by providing technical leadership
  • Translate problems into R&D objectives; specify requirements; investigate options (based on technical complexity and cost); solve problems, meet deliverables
  • Work with cross-functional team to deliver breakthrough technologies
  • Develop key relationships with relevant domestic and international authorities ultimately leading to joint development projects
  • Play key role in new products development and technology transfer to the development or manufacturing team
  • Optimize and scale-up of successful media candidates 
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of state-of-the-art in polymer chemistries, surface modification and coating techniques
  • Work closely with manufacturing and development groups in technology transfer and components change
  • Promote a high level of safety awareness

Job Requirements


  • Masters in polymer chemistry, polymer science, chemical engineering or related area
  • At least 5 years of experience in R&D working in membrane development or membrane performance evaluation
Preferred Qualifications:
  • PhD Preferred

Skills and Knowledge:
  • Expertise in coating and membrane formation processes
  • Strong knowledge in scale up and roll-to-roll work
  • Strong background in analytical chemistry and protein purification processes 
  • Extensive hands-on experience in new products development and new product introduction
  • Broad expertise in membrane chromatography and membrane chromatography performance evaluation
  • A track record of scientific productivity as evidenced by high quality publications and/or patents and/or commercialized products
  • Experience with D.O.E., process optimization and scale-up
  • Experience in project management principles and practices is a plus 
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
