POSITION SUMMARY: Leadership of cross-functional project teams to design and launch dental imaging devices and software in an evolving Internet of Things environment that are On Time, On Spec and On Cost.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Lead multidisciplinary product development teams through all phases of Waterfall or Agile new product development, from initial concepts through launch, for multiple complex and/or interdependent projects simultaneously.  
  • Drive continuous improvement of execution through the team’s use of DBS (Danaher Business System) culture and tools.
  • Benchmark best product development practices at other Danaher companies, and implement on projects as appropriate.
  • Use RACI (Responsible, Accountable, Consult, Inform) to ensure ownership and execution of activities and deliverables is distributed to the appropriate team members and functional leaders.
  • Partner with Operations leadership to ensure successful Design Transfer and transition to full production.
  • Partner with Product Marketing and Service organizations to ensure successful preparation and execution of commercial launch.
  • Partner with Product Marketing, R&D and Business Unit leadership to maintain and evolve the technology and product roadmaps for the business unit.  
  • Provide process guidance to project team and cross-functionally within engineering department.  Identify and implement targeted improvements to work instructions and forms.
  • Lead cross-functional project team activities, workshops and kaizens as required.
  • Proactively lead root cause / countermeasure exercises and drive actions to closure in a timely manner.
  • Represent project activities during audits, both internal and external (FDA, ISO, etc.).
  • Lead execution of engineering change orders related to project.
  • Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Job Requirements


Minimum Qualifications: 
  • Background in developing high-tech products. 
  • Strong time and project management skills.  
  • Strong Danaher values (“walks the talk”), and is pragmatic in dealing with the real-world problems and pressures of new product development.  
  • High sense of urgency and is perceived as a strong, respected, fair leader, with emphasis on developing the strength of the team.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in Agile / Scrum software development environment desired.

Minimum Education and/or Experience: 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or another technical field; MS, MBA desirable
  • 8+ years in Program/Project Management of New Product Development.

Preferred Education and/or Experience:
  • MS or MBA degree desired
