GENERAL DESCRIPTION

The Commissions and Payroll Analyst, Mexico will support ChemTreat’s Commercial and Finance organizations with all aspects of calculating, tracking, and reporting commissions for Sales associates for our Mexico sales force. In addition, Commissions and Payroll Analyst, Mexico will be responsible for all aspects of Mexico payroll. ChemTreat Mexico supports a diverse commission structure worth $1.5 million annually.  This role is critical to the Company’s continued strategic growth.  This role will act as a key point of support for commissions in the rest of Latin America.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES

•        Manages commission plans and makes modifications to database as needed.

•        Prepare timely payroll using Workday reporting to include exceptions, compensation, new hire, leave of absence, bonuses and deductions.

•        Processes semi-monthly payroll utilizing third party payroll provider.

•        Calculates commissions to sales associates based on individual commission plan provisions and processes for payment.

•        Enter new hires and changes to associates using third party provider.

•        Act as liaison between ChemTreat and third party provider to ensure FLL/SSL accuracy.

•        Coordinates with Treasury to process timely payments to associates.

•        Calculate final payment, including commission if applicable, of terminated associates.

•        Process payment of overtime in accordance with Mexico Federal Labor law and maintain the vacation and paid holiday monthly accrual.

•        Complete ad hoc reporting as necessary for Finance or other functions.

•        Work with third party in regards to local and federal taxes.

•        Supports Sales and HR teams with development and implementation of commission plans.

•        Supports Global Commissions Manager in replication of ChemTreat’s North American commission structure in Latin America in accordance with local laws and regulations as guided Global Payroll and HR.

•        Evaluates effectiveness of commission structures using analytical tools.

•        Resolves reconciliation issues and processing exceptions related to commission data.

•        Completes other strategic analysis and ad hoc projects as assigned.

Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

•        Understanding of commission calculations and concepts.

•        Complete understanding of the laws and regulations about the remuneration process.

•        Strong Analytical skills and business/accounting knowledge; Intermediate Skills in Excel, Word and Microsoft Outlook. 

•        Self-Starter that takes pride in his/her work and takes the initiative. 

•        Independent thinker who can think outside the box. 

•        Results oriented person that generates creative solutions. 

•        Must be comfortable with change and continuous improvement efforts.

•        Strong Interpersonal skills; Teamwork & Leadership skills; Self-Motivated, and ability to Multi-task.

•        Able to clearly communicate financial results to all levels of management.

•        Problem solving and ability to think out of the box.

•        Organizational skills; Self-management

•        Able to effectively communicate with individuals for whom English is a second language.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

•        Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

•        5 years of experience in a payroll, sales compensation or related role. 

•        Knowledge of payroll laws and regulations required.

•        Knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS, as it relates to sales compensation and payroll, preferred.

•        Experience using financial reporting tools such as Excel.

  • Bilingual in Spanish or Portuguese preferred.
