Description


The Senior Package Engineer VAVE supports the review and analysis of current packaging configurations both instrument and consumables to determine cost savings that can come from material, design, or process change. The incumbent will be responsible for reviewing and developing complex protective packaging and must have a solid foundation of packaging materials, fabrication processes, molding processes, ISTA and ASTM packaging test methods. The Sr. Engineer will be interfacing as appropriate with Development, Quality, Manufacturing, Purchasing and Suppliers. The incumbent assists with coordinating the release changes and enhancements to existing product packaging; participates in design reviews, and material. Provides packaging support for internal and external suppliers from a cost savings perspective; participates in the resolution of packaging issues; writes test protocols and test reports, and ensures manufacturing/packaging documents are created, updated and in compliance with company standards, ISO, GMP, and DOT as required.

Job Requirements



Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s Degree Package Engineering.

  • 3-5 years’ experience working in an FDA regulated medical industry preferred.
