Job Summary:  Directly reporting to Infection Prevention and Specialty (IPS) Business Unit (BU) General Manager, the Sr. International Sales Manager will thrive on being on the front lines, generating leads and prospects while selling the Metrex infection prevention products to medical facilities in the world excluding Canada, China and United States. We are seeking a high energy, entrepreneurial spirit with a proven track record of success. The ideal candidate has sales experience in the healthcare industry and will have an integral role in expanding the global presence of Metrex. The role will manage sales through forecasting, account resource allocation, account strategy and planning. This hire will travel internationally extensively and also participate in coaching regional sales manager, collaborating & communicating with regional commercial leaders, coordinating with US based headquarters and operations, finding leads, developing presentations and sales propositions, negotiating pricing and contractual agreement to closing the sale. This is a perfect opportunity to learn under a General Manager and diverse regional commercial leaders and make a significant contribution to rapidly grow our medical infection prevention business worldwide to benefit to a greater society in fighting healthcare associated infections (HAIs).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Execute the vision and strategy for the IPS BU, in alignment with regional business objectives.
  • Proactively and effectively communicate and collaborate with regional and country commercial leaders in managing forecast, updating sales funnel and calling out risk/opportunities.
  • Develop and actively manage direct reports to provide career development opportunities and hold team accountable for compliance, revenue numbers, margin expansion and stay within expense budget
  • Manage key customer relationships and remove obstacles to close strategic opportunities and sustain & grow the revenue
  • Work with Finance, Trade Compliance, Account Receivable, Customer Care, Product Management, Marketing, Regulatory, Quality, Procurement, Operations and other functions to ensure order being processed, balance being paid and products being received.
  • Quickly adapt to the business needs when being assigned to various sustaining projects. 
  • Analysis of Sales model & Compensation model with respect to effectiveness and cost
  • Develop a close working relationship with colleagues in the sales and marketing organizations to understand the market space and to provide technical support upon request.
  • Proactively utilize DBS tools to identify root causes and implement countermeasures. Prepare and facilitate cross-functional meetings, including PSP and strategic planning with regional or upper management
  • Implement and manage approved budget and monitor actual expenses to ensure they fall within budget.
  • Collaboratively working with colleagues. Drive a culture of accountability, effectiveness, efficiency, collaboration and continuous learning in the organization.

Job Requirements


  • 5+ years related experience in leadership or commercial role (preferably in healthcare).
  • Demonstrated success in product management or commercial team management.
  • Willingness to travel, approximately 40 % of the time.
  • MBA required. 

  • This individual must be hands-on and ready to roll up their sleeves to deliver immediate results
  • Ability to lead complex projects involving matrix / cross-functional departments
  • Ability to independently identify problems, propose solutions and execute on those solutions
  • Global awareness and ability to work effectively across different cultures
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, strong influencing and motivational skills and the ability to build strong, credible relationships with multiple cross-functional stakeholders (inside and outside of IPS BU).
  • Effective time management skills to ensure on-time deliveries.
