Description

During this internship, you will have an opportunity to work on re-engineering our software products using cutting edge technologies to replace our current software products and support next generation instruments and Xpert® tests.

• Develop and maintain software applications including prototyping, designing, coding, testing and/or unit testing, test automation, and documentation.

• Review code and designs, analyze defects and bug fixes.

• Work on projects including both backend and frontend development.

• Adhere to software development and source control processes.

Designs, develops, troubleshoots and debugs software programs for software enhancements and new products. Develops software tools including operating systems, compilers, routers, networks, utilities, databases and Internet-related tools. Determines hardware compatibility and/or influences hardware design. Develops software applications, user interfaces, databases and embedded software. Considers software architecture to include networked applications and interactions within a system. Imaging Engineering roles that design and develop medical diagnostic and clinical instrumentation, equipment, and procedures, using the principles of engineering and bio-behavioral sciences should be assigned to this job family. Roles with responsibility for cloud architecture should be assigned to this job family. Jobs that provide engineering technical support in this field should be assigned to this job family.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

–      Currently pursuing an undergraduate  or graduate degree in Computer Science 
–      Team player with good communication skills
–      Ability to learn quickly and contribute to team projects
–      Good fundamental knowledge of OO Programming
–      Great problem solving skills
–      Strong knowledge of Excel
–      Proficiency in JAVA a plus
