Description

Note: This role will initially be based in Nottingham (for approx. 12 months) then will relocate to St Ives, Cambs

Job Summary:

Specify, design, develop and test

•       Embedded software for Linx TTO coding and marking products.

•       User Interfaces and Workflows

•       IoT Solutions

Research and prototype new technologies and methods to improve customer workflows.

Linx products include mechanical, electronic, software and ink jet printing components.


Key Responsibilities:


Development of embedded software and complementary technologies for Linx printers.

Take responsibility and ownership of the design, development and maintenance of multiple software components and small projects, including custom applications, from initiation through to integration into a released product.

Software Technical support to other departments

Continuous improvement of software development process



Job Requirements



Qualifications

Qualifications: 

BSc / MSc in Computer Science, Maths or Physical Sciences Degree (or equivalent)


Profile:

3 or more year’s professional software experience working in a multi-discipline, agile development environment.

Experience of working as part of a Scrum team.

Experience of the following:

      Developing software for embedded real time systems in C/C++

     Developing IoT solutions using AWS technologies

     UI development

     RTOS’s

     One or more scripting languages 

     Low level hardware debugging techniques

Naturally self-motivated, inquisitive, creative and enjoys operating in a team environment.
