Description

POSITION SUMMARY

The Service Training Specialist has overall accountability and responsibility to create, coordinate and maintain Trojan training programs, enhancing the knowledge and skills of associates, representatives and customers.  This includes all work, scope and responsibilities related to associate development training, product training, operation and maintenance training, certified technical training, as well as instructor training for the municipal and industrial markets globally.  The role also will coordinate ideation of value added customer training modules and virtual content that support Service revenue opportunities.  The Service Training Specialist works at a highly cross functional level within NA and Europe teams to drive compliance, best practices and deliver service excellence to customers.

ACCOUNTABILITIES 

* Prepare and conduct technical training programs, determining course content according to requirements

* Oversee and coordinate associate development training and skills training and certification based on functional requirements and P4G plans.

* Create computer-based and multimedia curriculum

* Arrange and conduct on-site training when required

* Observe and evaluate results of training programs; revising as necessary

* Conduct presentations and training sessions, webinars, workshops etc. in groups or individually

* Create instructor and end user materials (course outlines, background material, instructional materials, and training aids)

* Ensure the quality and consistency of course content throughout a course life cycle.

* Manage the training program in accordance with business needs, regulatory requirements, and Quality Management System.

* ISO Matrix, Compliance, DBS, Health, Safety &  Environmental training

* Facilitate invoiceable customer seminars for accreditation programs and also work with Service team to develop innovative modules that can be part of Service Level Agreement revenue capture

Qualifications

* Possess a solid technical aptitude

* Ability to explain and simplify complex subjects in a concise and engaging manner

* Able to work cross-functionally with the Product Engineering team and other functions to provide up to date product  information and training

* Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment

* Can prioritize under pressure to ensure critical few are completed to achieve impacts and objectives

* Proven experience as a technical trainer

* Capable knowledge of modern training techniques and tools

* Experience in designing technical course content

* Degree in a relevant technical field

* Certification such as CTT+ (Certified Technical Trainer) is a strong asset

QUALIFICATIONS:

* Post-secondary education in a related discipline

* 3-5 years experience in a technical training and/or customer training environment

* Competency in Microsoft Office applications

* Ability to travel
