Position Summary:


The Service Operations Project Manager will be a key member of the Global Service Operations team by helping to drive important areas of the service business including; service logistics improvement projects, repair center set-up projects and assisting with overall global service projects.  This position is essential to help the field team prepare for newly implemented Field Repair Centers around the world, improve service parts logistics and driving key logistical performance metrics that affect field service engineers and tech support.  This job will be based in Sunnyvale, CA, and will require approximately 10% travel for effective execution of projects.

Job Responsibilities:



  • Work with regional service managers to set-up playbook for Repair Center roll-out processes and needs.

  • Assist with repair center set-ups and monitoring.

  • Work with global logistics team to ensure proper parts processes and stocking for service regions.

  • Identify critical gaps and cost leakage within logistics and repair centers.  Define and run projects to address and drive efficiencies and profitability.

  • Ensure all underlying Service systems (ie, ERP, MRP, CRM, Business Intelligence) are maintained and updated to allow effective ongoing operations.

  • Track KPIs and Reports to effectively achieve results in parts logistics and service centers.

  • Use Lean, Six Sigma Principles and lead problem solving process.

  • Evaluate quality process and engage in scalable projects to standardize globally on how we execute.

Qualifications

Qualifications & Experience Required:




  • Years of experience required: Bachelor’s degree in field with 5+ years of related work experience or Master’s degree in field with 3+ years of related work experience or Doctoral degree in field with 0-2 years of related work experience.


  • 3+ Project Management Experience. Practical knowledge with business process, such as PSP (Problem Solving Process), Lean Six-Sigma/DMAIC.

  • Experience in customer facing role and/or service logistics.

  • Experience with supply-chain, specifically within a Service function and able to define minimum stocking levels and global forecasts.

  • Excellent communicator via phone, email, power point and face-to-face.

  • Ability to create relationships quickly across organizations and roles.

  • In-depth experience with Power Point, Microsoft Excel required.  Experience with SAP, Adobe and Sales Force preferred.

  • PMPP certified preferred.
