Description

PURPOSE OF POSITION
The Service Operations Commissioning Project Manager  (CPM) role at TrojanUV is responsible for the implementation of strategic or complex Municipal UV projects.  Working closely with the customer, the  CPMwill understand the requirements and customer needs and will build a comprehensive project plan to ensure the TrojanUV solution is delivered per specification, on time and on budget.  The CPM will be the primary contact for the customer and will lead a cross-functional team through installation, commissioning and optimization of the TrojanUV System.  The role will emphasize international projects, but will also encompass complex projects in NA as needed and also be responsible for contributing to the development and optimization of highly effective standard work and processes for project execution in Service Operations.
KEY RESPONSIBILIITES
  • Review customer plant processes and designs to ensure complete definition of requirements and scope
  • Review contract terms and specifications and ensure alignment with Trojan project and product offerings, and vice-versa
  • Cultivate key customer relationships to interpret their needs and requirements, bring unique solutions to internal stakeholders as needed to meet customer requirements
  • Represent Trojan Technologies at the customer site, leading team planning, integration and verification activities in the field
  • Develop success criteria, project plans, detailed budgets and timelines and engage customers in their review and management
  • Complete project deliverables including project specific documents such as factory and field testing protocols, test reports, as-built drawings; installation and start-up supervision; system testing, negotiate and manage scope and /or change orders
  • Solve problems, evaluating systems and/or processes to isolate root causes and implement corrective actions as required
  • Provide customer support and present solutions as required
  • Manage third party relationships as required
  • Complete contract close out with the customer
  • Facilitate transition of projects to the service and aftermarket support teams, working with the Trojan team (Trojan Business Leaders, Channel partners, Danaher resources) to set up regional support as required
  • Collaborate and communicate with Trojan London team as required
  • Ensures project records are complete and in compliance with standard process

Qualifications

BACKGROUND & SKILL
  • Advanced degree in mechanical, electrical, controls or systems engineering
  • Ten (10) years of relevant work experience
  • Outstanding communication skills (written and verbal) required
  • Deep knowledge of water treatment plant processes (wastewater and clean water)
  • OEM integration experience with multiple PLC  platforms at water treatment preferred
  • Strong IT literacy
  • In field application and integration experience, demonstrating competency in electrical, mechanical and controls
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings (mechanical, electrical, P&ID)
  • Customer relations and cross functional teamwork experience
  • Understanding of complex sales solution processes
  • Experience working in emerging markets for extended periods
  • Fluent English required, additional languages would be an asset
  • Travel estimated  to be in cycles of  2 to 3 week in field with 2 week back at office, with potential for extended stays near customer sites (6 months)
