Service Business Development Specialist
Beckman Coulter is seeking a talented & dynamic individual to fill the position of Service Business Development Specialist in North America. This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast growing organization. The incumbent will be responsible for retaining, supporting and growing the commercial service business in North America (USA and Canada)
Key responsibilities include:
• Drive growth in service business including timeliness of warranty conversion, educating customers and selling new services. Serve as a point of contact to customers, sales, engineers, District Managers, and supplier with the objective of retaining growing business.
• As necessary, provide customers with all necessary information in order to facilitate the service agreement transactions.
• Liaise with inside sales to facilitate customers of contracts, including pricing and proposals. Work closely with Service Management and supplier to identify opportunities, provide leads, and add service agreements. Provide leads to Service Management and Field Service Engineers by leveraging customer purchasing trends on service/supplies/parts.
• Work closely with Services Marketing team to identify opportunities for inbound and outbound campaigns, early renewal incentive programs, customer loyalty programs and incremental business.
• Liaising with customer training team to promote live and online training courses across all product lines.
• In addition to marketing campaigns, utilize internal resources and tools to generate and pursue funnel of new service business opportunities
• Contact and convert customers to supplemental service offerings upon factory warranty expiration. Developing Field materials for use by Service Engineers to facilitate an increase in supplemental warranty conversions.
• Develop process with local teams and materials for converting customers from factory warranty to full service maintenance agreements.
• Proposal generation for new service agreement opportunities (support for Field Service Managers and Instrument Sales).

• Microsoft Office skills - specifically Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Ability to articulate and present a sales proposal.
• Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects to secure business execution with local teams.
• Self-starter that can work independently and take action with a focus on continuous improvement.
• Results oriented - able to clearly separate effort from results. Must possess the ability to quickly gather data, identify trends/issues, and clearly communicate next steps and aggressively follow-up to ensure that opportunities are closed.
• Includes a minimum of 15% travel within North America

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree required.
• Prior experience managing customer / supplier relationship is a required.
• Experience communicating value propositions is required.
• Understanding of revenue, profit, mix and margin.
• Experience in Account management and customer satisfaction.
