Key deliverables are to sell, promote and act as subject matter expert for SCIEX software products to our current install base of SCIEX customers, in order to drive increased software and training revenue. Take accountability for implementation of sales plan designed to achieve and exceed established sales and financial goals for software products; call on prospective and current company customers; involve technical personnel to resolve customer issues and problems as needed; engage directly with key customers to ensure customer satisfaction and a continuous software revenue stream; may participate in the establishment of sales targets and design of the territory's sales plan; and control sales expenses.

  • Own and drive new product and application introductions at Key Accounts.
  • Develop strategic technical, application and commercial collaborations with KOL’s that support the growth of the software business (software, training and validation products).
  • Understand customer organizations by market vertical, department, function, and key programs.
  • Master the basic features and benefits of the entire SCIEX software portfolio of products.
  • Successfully integrate with current MS sales process to provide value added selling strategies that provide synergistic growth in our mass spectrometry business.
  • Drive informatics software initiative including database and networking questions and solutions.
  • Assist with escalations, working with internal teams (Sales, R&D, Marketing) to provide the best solution to the customer.
  • Work with the field to help implement informatics solutions at customer sites.
  • Develop technical solutions to facilitate better communication of our software workflows to the customer base and the field.
  • Working directly on new development projects that continue to increase informatics software business for SCIEX and increasing customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborating with our customer’s IT departments on best practices, supported configurations and technologies.
  • Drive and own sales opportunities for SCIEX software products with our established mass spec install base and call upon them to improve incremental software revenue. 
  • Responsible for meeting and exceeding assigned forecast and targets through exceptional selling skills and effectively manage all stages of the sales cycle.
  • Responsible for opportunity funnel management, lead qualification, win-rate management and regular strategic pricing reviews. Identify and qualify new business opportunities.
  • Input Leads in SFDC and consistently update SFDC sales funnel. Integrate with existing Market Development Managers, Market Development Specialists and Mass Spec Sales Specialists, where opportunity to exists to leverage the software sales channel as a tool to drive incremental business in mass spec sales.
  • Cross-functional Leadership, help to develop Global strategy for regulated scientific lab informatics platforms.
  • Lead change management activities and technical assessment of software platform environments.
  • Liaison with IT and R&D to manage and ensure success of software implementation projects from requirements and business case development.
  • Be a customer advocate across the organization as required to meet and exceed customer expectation on software products.
  • Collaborate with other functional and business leaders to ensure Voice of the Customer is heard in strategic planning at the global, regional, product and business unit levels.
  • Provide feedback to Software business development team on marketing communications/plan in order to optimize the demand generation/creation effectiveness of the outbound marketing programs.


Job Requirements


  • Bachelor’s or Master's Degree in domain-relevant Life Sciences/Computer Science or domain informatics preferred. 
  • 5+ years’ experience around regulated laboratory environments (GMP, FDA21cfr11, ISO).
  • Experience with lab informatics software required, as well as expertise in the use of informatics computing and data management packages.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills are required, with superior problem solving and troubleshooting skills. Ability to prioritize, organizes, and delegate various tasks on projects, working in a cross-functional team environment. Frequently demonstrated success in project management.
  • Must be able to work well under pressure.
  • Experience with LC/MS/MS systems is preferred.
  • Computer literate - 'Microsoft Office' - Word/Excel/Powerpoint.
  • 60% travel is required.
