The Senior Scientist will:

  • Develop melt brown fiber for various business units within Pall as part of structured New Product Development programs/projects
  • Perform hands-on research in support of technology conversions for next generation markets and applications
  • Interact with site operations at Pall Timonium (PTIM) and Pall Ilfracombe (PILF) to successfully transfer products from R&D to manufacturing

Job Requirements


Minimum Qualifications include:

  • Master’s or PhD in Chemical Engineering or Material Science
    PhD with a minimum of 3 years of experience in R&D working in fibers and polymers, or Master’s degree with a minimum of 5 years of experience in R&D working in fibers and polymers
  • Good knowledge of material science, specifically related to organic polymers and their processing
  • Strong background in fiber characterization techniques, preferably Nano assemblies & structures
  • Hands-on experience in fiber formation processes (e.g., Melt blown, spun bond, electro-spinning, etc.) a plus
  • Experience with Design of Experiments (DOE), process optimization, and scale-up a plus
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Desire to work effectively with cross-functional teams to accomplish project objectives
