Are you passionate about helping sales professionals meet and exceed their goals by leveraging customer insights and data? Are you an experienced business professional who wants to identify and fix root causes to simplify and automate business processes? 

As a Senior Sales Operations Analyst with Beckman Coulter, you will work with our sales ops management and sales leaders in North America to analyze sales data and profitability, while providing data-driven insights toward the commercial organizations financial direction. You will lead the sales forecasting and financial performance reporting, and evaluate areas of risk and opportunity. The Senior Analyst for Sales Operations will empower the business with data and visual-driven analysis to support decision-making. This is a high visibility role that has the ability to impact and influence business outcomes through strong business partnering and critical thinking. The right person for this role is an excellent communicator, intellectually curious and always anticipates the needs of the business. This position reports directly to the Senior Manager of Sales Operations in the Global Sales Enablement organization. The ideal candidate is someone who is comfortable working in a fast-paced, matrixed environment. 


Financial Analysis 
  • Assist North American Sales Operations Senior Manager with creating and reviewing monthly, quarterly, and annual results 
  • Review monthly financial statements for each assigned business unit, identifying key trends, variances, and areas of improved performance 
  • Develop, implement, and maintain enhanced analytical tools to help predict and analyze key financial metric performance to share with commercial leadership to influence decisions and drive commercial growth 
  • Create and automate dashboards, standard reports, scorecards, ad-hoc reports, and data visualization that provide key business insights 
  • Coordinate distribution of monthly sales financial reporting package and variance analysis 
  • Design, develop, and maintain dynamic financial and forecast reporting tools to increase accuracy and improve efficiency 
  • Oversees the financial sales planning and quota process, data analytics and ad-hoc financial analysis. 
  • Drive collaboration with North America finance team to ensure all sales & sales related metrics are reconciled across company scorecards and dashboards 
  • Coordinate and document processes for internal financial reporting systems 
  • Cooperate with finance, sales, and incentive compensation departments in the preparation of analyses 
  • Prepare financial presentations in Excel and PowerPoint 

Strategic Planning 
  • Assist with the annual sales plan and quota creation process 
  • Assist with weekly cash hardware, monthly sales funnel, and quarterly revenue and hardware bookings forecasting updates 
  • Develop and drive analysis to identify, evaluate, and quantify risks and opportunities across all of Beckman Coulter’s North American sales Areas 
  • Develop benchmarking analyses and reports to assist in strategy development 
  • Conduct special financial and business related studies 
  • Design and review critical KPI’s to drive change across the broader commercial organization 
  • Translate day-to-day business practices into actionable information for Commercial leadership 

In addition you will work with Senior Managers to present at regional and national sales meetings and new hire trainings to assist providing training on corporate and business practice policies.

Qualifications

Education
  • Bachelor’s Degree required (Business/Accounting/Finance focus preferred)
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
  • Advanced skills in excel and exceptional analytical, research, and statistical skills including experience analyzing and manipulating large amounts of financial, competitive, and transactional data. 
  • Experience and knowledge with financial modeling techniques in excel. 
  • Experience in data acquisition techniques strongly preferred (e.g. SQL). 
  • Experience with using databases and reporting tools to automate financial reporting through the use of visual reporting techniques (i.e. graphs and conditional formatting) 
  • Experience in creating and automating dashboards, standard reports, scorecards, ad-hoc reports, and data visualization that provide key business insights 
  • Previous experience working in a finance or accounting department is required (5+ years financial analysis experience) 
  • Experience working in a cross-functional environment and interacting with multiple departments 
  • Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment 
  • Critical thinker open to learning new ideas/skills; flexible and excited by a challenge 
  • Demonstrated high level of strategic thinking and business acumen 
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal 
  • Natural bias toward action and a track record of bringing the answers before management asks the question 
  • Preferred skills – subject matter expert in ERP and CRM systems such as Oracle, OBIEE, and Salesforce.com; Power BI or Tableau experience is a plus
