Description

Project Manager, IT PMO


The Project Manager within the Information Technology Organization will play an integral role as the leader of project teams tasked with delivering priority business initiatives. The Project Manager ensures deliverables and tasks are completed in a timely manner and defined project standards are met.


As assigned, this position will also work closely with project sponsors and owners to 1) assemble and manage project teams to execute key business initiatives, 2) ensure quality control, standardized deliverables, proper communication & delegation of tasks throughout the project lifecycle, 3) plan, evaluate, & Execute projects according to predetermined objectives, scope, timelines, & requirements, 4) recognize project hurdles / risks and escalates to appropriate levels within the project and organization.


The Project Manager will also work within the PMO to support process improvement, collaboration, and portfolio and organization metrics reporting for IT.


Specific Job Duties:




  • Manages project assignments from initial assessment through completion by identifying and coordinating the expertise of all required disciplines.


  • Develops project plan, schedule and budget; negotiates with functional managers to obtain appropriate resources and builds a team dedicated to the successful completion of the project; establishes work priorities to ensure productivity, quality and customer service goals and objectives are met.


  • Work with business stakeholders to clarify requirements as needed


  • Track project progress and keep key stakeholders informed of project progress


  • Creatively remove roadblocks to team productivity

Qualifications

Required Experience




  • Must have 9+ years of experience of enterprise-level project management


  • Experience with managing enterprise level projects


  • Proven experience in budget planning and resource management


  • Knowledge of IT governance and practices


  • Strong grasp of current technologies and business challenges


Required Skills and Qualifications:




  • Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience


  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to communicate at all levels including executives, key business stakeholders, and developers


  • Strong leadership and execution skills


  • Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks


  • Must work well in a collaborative team environment


  • PMP certification is a plus
