Description

SUMMARY:
The general responsibilities of this position will focus on the application of project management skills and the Ormco New Product Development (NPD) process to realize a timely launch of new products while addressing all of the associated business objectives.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Lead and coordinate all of the activities of the cross functional team.
  • Collaborate with project core team members and other functional departments to create a project plan.
  • At the onset of the project you will work with the cross functional development team to establish clear project objectives and deliverables in alignment with the project plan.
  • Provide the necessary leadership to implement the project plan in accordance with Ormco’s Design Change / New Product Development Process.  This effort includes continued focus on maintaining compliance with the planned scope, regulatory requirements, scheduling, and cost objectives for the project.
  • Work in conjunction with Regulatory Affairs to support 510(k) submissions, foreign licensing, and all regulatory based objectives.
  • Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team.
  • Responsible for leveraging Danaher Business System (DBS) processes and tools in the execution of projects (i.e. Problem Solving Process (PSP), Visual Project Management (VPM), etc.).

  • Organized thinker that is able to prioritize tasks in real time and exercise judgment in high-paced environment
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills to support design change documentation, team leadership, project updates, interaction with all levels within the organization and communication with external thought leaders.
  • Sound computers skills demonstrating a firm knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook) and Microsoft Project. Able to type 40 WPM

Qualifications

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:       
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field
  • A minimum of 8 years’ experience in managing projects in medical device / regulated industries using traditional waterfall and/or Agile methods.
  • Required to have experience with MS Project.
Desired skills :

  • FDA Quality System Regulation Part 820 and ISO 13485 experience required.
  • Desirable to have experience with full software development lifecycle from product requirements to product release and post release support.
  • PMP certified (highly desirable)
  • Experience with CAD, metal injection molding, ceramic injection molding, computer numerical controlled machining and/or laser welding processes desired.
