Description

Your Responsibilities:

  • Development of a long-term strategy for the target markets/customer segments and support in the development of business cases as well as a business segment strategy with a focus on digital workflow solutions

  • Analysis of markets, competitive information, global sales performance etc. and generation of an effective marketing strategy; analysis of competitors' portfolio and sales tactics and development of defense plans

  • Development and adaptation of business plans for existing and new product lines and development projects, as well as an NPI business plan for the respective product portfolio

  • Conduct business reviews and prepare monthly, quarterly and annual forecasts and implement corrective actions

  • Increase operating margin through intelligent pricing and configurations

  • Definition of an innovation plan and the required portfolio structure for the proposed market segments and coordination of the market launch with the regions

  • Advancing and scouting technical innovation together with all relevant interest groups and accompanying the technical development process

  • Establishment of a network of external partners to support the hardware and software development and positioning of Leica as a driver and new standard for connectivity, data management and usability

  • Definition and creation of a marketing communication mix for the product portfolio and its analysis of the positioning and global pricing

  • Ensuring a target-oriented customer approach to evaluate customer satisfaction

  • Budget management in close collaboration with Global Marketing

  • Conduct customer visits and launch activities such as the launch of new products at major congresses, product training and/or boot camp activities.

Qualifications

Our Expectations:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or business administration, specialisation in digital, SW, innovation processes advantageous
  • Many years of experience in the areas of product management, business development and/or sales and service function in a relevant high-tech sector
  • Experience in product planning, the definition and introduction of products, the standardization of product portfolios as well as the promotion of the marketing of products
  • Proficient in English (spoken and written), knowledge of German desirable and other languages helpful, willingness to travel (approx. 30%)
  • Ability to achieve results in a complex matrix organisation through efficient communication with all partners
  • You work focused, strategically and you have a strong business sense as well as attention to detail
  • You are tenacious and ambitious and willing to continuously improve the Company
