Beckman Coulter Life Sciences is looking for an experienced full-stack, senior .net developer to join the global digital marketing team. You will be actively executing Sitecore/.net development activities for the global website. Our Global Commercial Marketing team is directly responsible for the organization’s marketing technology and we manage Beckman Coulter’s digital strategy and presence around the globe. We can start the morning working with Europe and throughout the day collaborate with teams across North America, China, Brazil and India. Our team is building a center of excellence that provides digital and channel expertise to drive growth locally and globally. Our solutions-oriented digital team is focused on delivering results and our ecommerce-enabled website is at the center of it all.

This role will execute the development of a .net-based content management system (CMS), and supporting system architecture (Sitecore). Responsibilities will include developing new features, architecting solutions and integrations, code merges and reviews, directing repository branch management, troubleshooting bugs and fixes, management of the DEV, UAT and PROD environments, coordinate the onboarding process for development resources, and centralize Sitecore/architecture knowledge transfer for internal teams, vendors and consultants. The senior developer will manage architectural gaps between vendors, developers, infrastructure and IT support, and stay up to date on Sitecore best practices. Daily responsibility will also include directing repository branch management, communicating with internal stakeholders on system outages, serving as the team’s liaison to IT teams for system administration and support, and directing governance on code development, release documentation and deployment processes.

The Senior .Net Developer will report directly to the Sr. Manager, Global Digital Strategy, and will play an integral part in the future growth of the website and user experience for customers and internal stakeholders. This role will work with multiple teams including marketing, sales, client services and IT. The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of experience managing initiatives for a B2B or B2C website.


  • Key contributor to establish a global website strategy, roadmap and implementation plan
  • Write well designed, testable, efficient code by using best software development practices 
  • Create website layout/user interface by using standard HTML/CSS practices
  • Integrate data from various back-end services and databases
  • Gather and refine specifications and requirements based on business and/or technical needs
  • Responsible for maintaining, expanding, and scaling sites
  • Reporting on key performance indicators (KPIs) for code deployments and project roadmaps
  • Provides assistance in technical documentation scoping for projects
  • Performs user acceptance testing for code deployments and helps to document issues across the website.
    - Monitor network conditions and assist with IT teams to troubleshoot service disruptions for the website.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of industry and enterprise-wide trends, staying up to date on Sitecore, emerging technologies and apply to daily work
  • Participate in web project estimation and integration sessions
  • Create and maintain software documentation
  • Direct the work of outside agencies or contractors to supplement internal development
  • Train and mentor web developers and web operational support 


  • Experience delivering websites and marketing applications with responsive design
  • 5+ years of Microsoft .NET development using C#, MVC
  • 5+ years of implementing .Net-based content management systems such as Epi Server, Umbraco or Kentico.
  • Experience creating flexible, modular page layouts, templates and components in a content management system
  • Good understanding of .net architecture best practices for scalable global CMS
  • Experience with object oriented design
  •  Experience with MV* front end JavaScript frame works
  • Web service experience W/WCF, Web API, REST API a plus
  • Robust knowledge and understanding of Databases (SQL SERVER)
  • 3rd-party .NET components (such as Telerik)
  • Working knowledge of XML/JSON and using 3rd party API’s
  • 3+ years of HTML, CSS, JavaScript (jQuery) technologies and development
  • Experience or working knowledge with SOLR, Elastic Search or other indexing platform
  • Source control systems (GIT, SVN or TFS)
  • Familiar with integrating CMS with third party systems and customizing out-of-the-box APIs
  • Good understanding of Windows Server and .NET application hosting
  • Networking (DNS, TCP/IP)
  • Experience with AWS a plus
  • Working knowledge of project management tools, preference with JIRA and Confluence
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
  • Experience interfacing with creative agencies/vendors
  • Experience with Salesforce CRM or Pardot a plus
  • Experience with commerce engines, preference with Oracle, Magento, or BigCommerce a plus
  • Experience of implementing Google Analytics code and debugging a plus

Job Requirements



  • Bachelor’s degree in field with 8+ years exp. OR Master’s degree in field with 7+ years exp.
  •  Degree in Information Science / Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics with relevant work experience
  • Works with corporate IT infrastructure to resolve integration issues
  • Ideal experience includes working previously for an agency or corporate website team in a web developer or solutions architect role
  • Agile project management skills
