Description

The Senior Marketing Manager is a key role that will lead global commercialization efforts of Beckman Coulter diagnostic immunoassay blood virus program product commercialization.  This position is part of a global product management team for immunoassay representing $1.5 billion product portfolio.  The Senior Marketing Manager will be the principle lead with global Marketing Teams in developing requirements, value propositions, drive supporting proof sources and publications, identify key advisory committee members and contacts for successful commercialization in each region of the world.

The Senior Marketing Manager will have the responsibility for providing project and program updates, cost requirements and recommendations, and requests related to successful commercialization to executive management at key milestones of the program.  The Senior Marketing Manager will partner with Global and Regional Marketing Managers to develop and roll out strategy including budget, pricing objectives, establish goals, marketing campaigns, and determine training for sales teams to successful engage and develop the appropriate level of knowledge for sales to introduce the new tests to customers and dealers to achieve global market penetration.  This role will coordinate and align closely with the Technical Product Management leader to coordinate on-going strategy and points of interaction.

We need an individual who is able to lead by understanding the interrelationships of product development, commercial organizations and flexibility to guide and lead a successful commercialization plan globally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Commercial background and expertise or proven aptitude to drive new products to the IVD market
  • Develops and executes  new product commercialization activities, product life cycle management, product road map, positioning and pricing
  • Responsible member of InnovationDP  Product Commercialization, Business Case, Customer Product Requirements, Launch Strategy, Commercialization Plan development and execution
  • Gathers and assesses market and competitive intelligence, global trends, and displacing technologies
  • Develop and deliver product marketing training to global marketing teams
  • Directs the design, development and management of sales collateral and relevant clinical papers in collaboration with key stakeholders
  • Develops product line forecasts in collaboration with Global Marketing and Supply Chain Planning
  • Collaborates with Scientific Affairs in Key Opinion Leader development and management
  • Supports VIP visits and key customers as required

Job Requirements



Qualifications

  • 12+ years’ experience or Doctoral degree infield with 9+ years’ experience required.
  • 9+ years in laboratory diagnostics, or related field
  • 3+ years Product Management experience in laboratory diagnostics, or related field preferred
  • Sales experience preferred
  • Strong commercial and aptitude for customer requirements; experience in commercialization of IVD products strongly preferred
  • Ability to work cross culturally/functionally and understand dynamics of different markets and functional department requirements while adhering to policies and procedures
  • Strong work ethic, ambition and drive for success
  • Ability to multitask in strategic and tactical space
  • Strong verbal, written and presentation skills with ability to build trust across cultures
  • Proficient in English languages and proven ability to work to inter-site projects
  • Knowledge of competitive environments and laboratory workflow processes
  • Results oriented individual with focused urgency
  • Able to work independently; self-motivated for continued learning
  • Strong time management skills, and follow through abilities
  • Working experience with Excel, Word, email and Microsoft Office programs
  • Must be able to travel up to 50% up through 75% globally
  • Bachelor of Science required; MBA or equivalent experience helpful
