The Senior Manager, Talent and Development Programs, is a key member of the global Talent Management Team, which is responsible for leadership development, learning and program management, and design and execution of Dental co.’s GM Development Program, Summer Internship Program(s), high potential development program(s), and broad based leadership program(s).  

The Senior Manager will partner with HR leaders/HRBPs, VP of Talent Management, Dental Co.’s Business leaders, and DBSO to create the learning infrastructure and to design development content, curriculum, and activities to support Dental Co.’s strategic business direction. This role will also be responsible for managing the assessment framework, set-up, and execution to support all development activities across the corporation.  

  •  Develop and deliver on new advancements in the GMDP, Summer Intern, and broad based leadership development programs aligned with business priorities and goals.
  •  Lead global execution of GMDP and Summer Intern programs through the effective co-ordination with HR and Business leaders to follow processes in relation to assignment allocation, talent brokering, career development and performance.
  •  Manage global workforce demand planning process for GMDP and Summer Interns and work with University Recruiting (UR) to ensure that demand is met for GMDP.
  •  Design and deploy communication channels that keep program participants, hiring managers and operating companies engaged. 
  •  Manage the planning, development, and implementation of GMDP and Summer Intern programming to ensure effective execution of program to drive maximum participation and results. 
  •  Review and audit current processes and timelines globally to ensure success of programs.
  •  Partner with TA UR leader, HR Leaders/HRBPs, and Operating Company leadership teams to coach, support talent development and engagement, including Performance Management, Organization & Talent Assessment, Succession Planning, and Chess boarding processes for GMDP, Summer Intern associates, and other future program participants as defined.
  •  Collaborate with TA UR leader to support overall global campus branding/digital marketing/advertising strategies to ensure consistency with program design and development 
  •  Partner with operating company leaders and HR leaders to design and implement experiential and innovative programs which shape leadership behaviors in line with Leadership Anchors.
  •  Work closely with Dental Co.’s DBSO to create curriculum that reinforce the DBS mindset in our training and program offerings.
  •  Develop, implement and manage talent metrics and analytics to ensure programs are meeting organization needs 
  •  Manage the nominations process for all enterprise level leadership development programs, including but limited to GMDP.
  •  Support onboarding and immersion planning activities and execution.
  •  Manage assessment process, tools, set-up, and administration.
  •  Based on voice of customer, propose continuous improvements to our Talent Management strategies and programs, reflecting the latest in internal and external best practices.  
  •  In collaboration with Dental Co. Corporate Communications team, define and develop channels to communicate process and program delivery to key stakeholder audiences and engage in two-way conversation with the HR community; lead the planning and execution of Talent sustainment communications through these channels. 

Job Requirements


  • Bachelor Degree required and Masters’ degree preferred
  • 5+ years professional Human Resources experience 
  • 3+ years Program/Project Management experience with implementing corporate-wide processes and/or high potential leadership development programs
  • 2+ years HR Generalist experience
  • Demonstratedexperience creating and driving clear, effective HR programs and processes to support outcome delivery preferred
  • Travel: 20-25%
  • Project and program management – ability to plan, identify, coordinate and track critical activities, milestones and deliverables with strong organizational skills and attention to detail. 
  • Learning measures and metrics focused; understands the objective, quantitative processes and metrics commonly used in the industry to evaluate development and learning objectives.
  • Process improvement and systems thinking – a track record of utilizing continuous improvement methodology as a business practice.
  • Influence and negotiation – ability to present ideas effectively, represent the best interests of all stakeholders, guide discussions, shift thinking, enable stakeholders to express concerns and goals, propose best path forward and drive alignment at all levels of the organization, including at the senior levels. 
  • Communications and change management – demonstrated know-how in identifying stakeholder needs and impacts and translating this understanding into effective and compelling communications and change strategies.    
  • Innovative and proactive problem-solving skills –with the ability to exercise integrity and sound judgment in complex and ambiguous situations.  
  • Multinational experience – experience working across cultures and geographies in a highly matrixed, fast-moving global organization. 
  • Initiative to work independently and within a dynamic team environment. 
  • HR technology – solid proficiency with project management tools, systems, and procedures. High skills required in MS Office Products and knowledge and past experience with Workday or other HRIS product preferred.

On July 19, 2018, Danaher announced its intention to spin-off the Dental Platform to form a new publicly traded dental company.  The new company “DentalCo” (to be named later) will create one of the largest and most innovative dental companies in the world.  The benefits of this spin-off will allow the Dental business to be more impactful, with greater focus around organic and inorganic growth; be more agile and quick to respond to changing market environments; allow increased access to capital to innovate and invest in clinical and practice workflows; as well as, allow for significant career opportunities for associates and leaders.  DentalCo will be a public entity traded on the NYSE. Collectively, its businesses generated roughly $2.8 billion in revenues in fiscal year 2017 with a global presence in 100 countries, with 20 manufacturing sites.  The Chief Accounting Officer (CAO) will be for the newly created diversified dental company, which will be comprised of the existing operating companies in Danaher’s dental segment, including Kavo Kerr, Ormco, and Nobel Biocare Systems.
