The Senior Manager
Public Relations leads Nobel Biocare's international PR and advertising efforts
and is responsible for the professional communication externally to the dental

The Senior Manager Public Relations will manage the content going into our Dental Market Publications (Nobel Biocare News and PR-related online newsletters), Product and Company PR activities including events as well as Advertising. As part of his/her responsibilities – and in order to create effective and high-quality market visibility with credible content – he/she maintains an effective dialogue with key customers, the dental media, the global dental publishing houses, industry opinion leaders and key internal stakeholders. He/she ensures professional and comprehensive communication to stakeholders by preparing, managing, implementing and measuring PR and Advertising initiatives and ensuring that project goals are reached in the most effective, consistent and efficient way. 

The Senior Manager Public Relations coordinates/supervises project implementation on a global level while assisting on regional and local levels.
As a key member of the Global Communications team he/she contributes to the development of the communication strategy and plan. 


  • Build and maintain a strong PR team that contributes to the cross-functional Global Communications team
  • Coach and provide training opportunities to further develop direct reports

  • Contribute to the communication strategy and manage the PR component including definition and management of key goals, key message management, annual plan, and key projects

Project management, planning, collaboration:
  • Identify, initiate, develop and manage state-of-the art communication solutions, processes and tools to communicate in an industry-leading manner with the media.
  • Support the development of high-quality editorial content across all PR channels and in particular, oversee Nobel Biocare Dental Media sections on the company website, other external portals (i.e., dental publications with our landing pages) and PR content on our internal Intranet.
  • Contribute to developing the Global Marketing department as a company-wide center of excellence and competence. 
  • Reach out to key internal stakeholders to stay informed of company-wide product and market activities.

Public Relations:
  • Responsible for PR initiatives including Nobel Biocare News, providing PR-related content for e-newsletters, product press releases and product press material 
  • Support global dental events with Product PR activities (press conference, press kits, etc.)
  • Establish, develop and manage relations with key international and national dental editors, journalists and organizations (newspapers, news wires, research houses, magazines etc.) 
  • Establish and maintain excellent external and internal relationships with key information sources

Advertising and media management:
  • Oversee the development, coordination and implementation of the global media plan for the dental market according to strategy and campaign deliverables
  • Responsible for the coordination and management of the media planning and buying processes, including identifying and maximizing ideal marketing opportunities
  • Manage incoming information on dental media issues, opinion, company coverage by maintaining a professional dental media monitoring system
  • Ensure the coordination, adjustment (specifications and formats) and delivery of adverts to dental publishing houses
  • Establish, develop and manage relations with key international and national dental publishing houses

Editorial support:
  • Ensure PR content is written consistently, accurately and edited in high quality (proper English wording, grammar and in accordance with existing Nobel Biocare style and tone of voice guidelines).
  • Actively contribute to marketing activities to support key messages and USPs of Nobel Biocare, Danaher and new products/solutions (websites, product news, leaflets, editorials, taglines, claims, etc.)

Job Requirements


  • Solid education in Communications or recognized Marketing, Advertising or PR degree
  • Minimum requirement BA/BSc or equivalent, MA/MSc an advantage
  • Native or near native / fluent English
  • German is an advantage
  • Profound experience leading international PR and communications projects in larger organizations
  • Profound experience in media relations (writing media releases, agenda setting, media events, etc.)
  • Proven project management experience
  • Knowledge and experience in other communications-related fields such as Internal Communications, events / trade shows / exhibitions, Market Communications, New Media Communications
  • Experience in pharma / med-tech / dentistry a distinct advantage 
  • Strong writing skills
  • Proven Marketing, Advertising or PR skills, management of international communications projects 
  • Proven communication skills, management of international communications projects 
  • Project management experience
  • Ability to source and direct international agencies
  • Able to work in a dynamic environment
  • Good presentation skills
  • Work experience in international environment
  • Willingness to travel
  • Good sense of humor
