  • The Senior Finance Manager, Global Commercial Operations Planning & Analysis will be responsible for the revenue forecasting and analysis of Beckman Coulter Diagnostics $3.5B operating company.  The Senior Finance Manager will develop and maintain processes to consolidate, report and communicate results consistently across regions and technologies, evaluating performance against both short and long-term goals.  

  • This is a "hands-on" position with direct responsibility for managing all above the line activities (including bookings, backlog, revenue, etc.) as well as provide appropriate reporting and analysis including key financial metrics (KPI’s).  The selected candidate will be required to review and improve modeling processes and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.  This is a key position with exposure to regional, OpCo, and Corporate leadership and with direct support to the VP- FP&A, OpCo CFO, and OpCo President.
  • Provide leadership to regional commercial finance teams for improving financial results in the area of revenue and operating profit
  • Support the Finance & Executive Leadership Team in commercial decision making, including monthly and annual growth recommendations for Beckman Coulter’s revenue forecast by region and product line
  • Provide analytic support and change management to Finance & Executive Leadership Team on key drivers of growth and OMX for each region including price, new products, margin, unit, revenue and customer win/loss 
  • Lead the development of Weekly/Monthly/Quarterly/Year End Commercial reports, including troubleshooting and correcting any anomalies to ensure accuracy of results 
  • Finance liaison to all Commercial organizations with relation to budget and forecast processes, responsible for alignment across the globe
  • Analyzes revenue variations from forecasts and prior periods to provide accurate explanations by region and product line as well as multiyear trends
  • Drives overall budgeting, forecasting and analysis with clear insights and decisions to support the corporate initiatives and regional growth
  • Proactively recommend process improvements to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of our reporting and analysis.  Develop new reporting capabilities to monitor key performance metrics
  • Provide ad hoc analysis and reporting to both Executive Leadership and functional departments of the Company

Job Requirements


  • Bachelor’s degree (concentration in Business, Finance/Accounting, or Economics is preferred)
  • 12+ years of relevant work experience 
  • CPA or MBA preferred and will be considered in lieu of time in role.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership as part of a cross-functional team.
  • Prior successful experience and proven ability working with individuals and teams globally.
  • Candidate must be detailed oriented with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and projects and complete assignments quickly and accurately.
  • Technical acumen, creative thinking, problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must possess a high degree of initiative and resourcefulness in completing work with limited guidance in a changing environment.
  • Strong financial modeling skills required.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required, knowledge in Visual Basic/ Macro a plus. 
  • Experience with EPM and OBI preferred.
  • Experience with Oracle a plus.
