We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic Hardware and Firmware Engineer to join our team and become an integral part of Research & Development. The candidate will contribute to the success of our clinical laboratory customers by developing our current and next generation of laboratory systems.
The Hardware and Firmware Engineer will report to the Manager Electrical Engineering. You will be responsible for
  • Development of control units for automation technology / laboratory automation (e.g. motion control) in C and VHDL
  • Circuit design and layout of PCB’s for automation technology / laboratory automation

  • Implementation and testing of prototypes

  • Error analysis of complex systems

  • Preparation of production records and accurate documentation of development and test results

Job Requirements


  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field with

  • Knowledge and practical experience with control systems, hardware-oriented software development (VHDL and C) and circuit design are a must

  • Creative and independent work style with a high sense of responsibility

  • Teamwork, resilience, communicative behavior

  • Ability to communicate in English and German, both written and verbal
