In this highly visible role, with excellent potential for advancement, you will be a key finance business partner to the MD functional teams.  As a member of the Global FP&A team, the position will provide value added financial support for both day-to-day tactical operations for multiple business functions such as R&D, Marketing, Sales or G&A, as well as for strategic business planning.

In addition, this role will play in a pivotal role in developing analytical tools and metrics to facilitate decision making.  Based out of San Jose, CA, you will interact on a frequent basis with senior management - both locally and internationally. You will be supporting and driving action plans to improve processes, automate/streamline functional reporting (using tools such as Oracle, Hyperion Financial Management and Hyperion Planning) for full P&L and Balance sheet.

  • Coordinate forecast of financial statements and statistics with various business functions (R&D, Marketing, Sales, G&A, Manufacturing and Service) for timely submission to Danaher Corporate (Forecasts, Budgets, Proforma and Strategic Plan).

  • Develop a regular cadence with business partners to review monthly actuals, analyzing forecast variance, identifying trends and providing recommendations to drive forecast execution and accuracy.

  • Take initiative and partner with various business functions in the organization to resolve/research issues, enhance system and business processes as well as integrating research, information, and trends into solutions using Danaher Business System (DBS) tools.

  • Prepare cost center reports and engage with cost center owners to drive awareness and identify root causes for deviations to budgets and forecast to ensure good cost control.

  • Partner with Operations to identify indirect savings target, track and evaluate key business performance indicators, providing recommendations for process improvement opportunities and drive implementation.

  • Act as a business partner to provide in-depth financial analysis and information to support key global functions and Corporate Finance members.

  • Provide in-depth analytical support in annual financial audit and SOX compliance audit.

  • Ad-hoc reporting as needed by Sr. Management.

Job Requirements


• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.

• Advanced knowledge of financial and accounting theory as well as financial and statistical modeling techniques.

• Advanced knowledge in Excel, including Pivot Tables and function formulas.

• Experience with Oracle, HFM, Hyperion Planning a plus

• Strong managerial, planning, organization and project management skills.

• Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision.

• Excellent written communication and presentation skills to various levels of the organization.

• Strong ability to build trusted cross-functional networks to accomplish goals.

•  8+ years of professional work experience with increasing responsibilities.
