Description

Overview

As part of the team, you will be responsible for inbound and outbound shipment in the Logistics function and Kaizen (process improvement) projects to meet On-Time Delivery objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, analyze, evaluate and pursue potential business opportunities that can meet Leica’s short (6 months)/long terms (1-3 years) business goals
  • Design/re-engineer transportation (air/ocean/ground) and warehousing process mapping with its related cost calculation of Supply Chain solutions for new/existing routes.
  • Strategize regional partnership through consolidation and optimization; drive towards lower “Total Landed Cost” with shorter delivery lead times and better operational costing.
  • Participate actively in pre-RFQ processes; with detailed financial modeling and pricing structures for import/export business awards.
  • Analyze and improve logistics/warehousing processes and systems; drive towards “Best-In-Class” Lean operations within Leica groups.
  • Establish improvement activities to achieve Logistics cost saving targets and support global initiatives as required; use lean tools to drive continuous improvement in related KPI metrics.
  • Comply and adhere to the regulatory and company Quality and EHS requirement.

Job Requirements



Qualifications

  • Degree / Diploma in Supply Chain or related discipline
  • Minimum 5 – 8 years’ working experience in similar industry
  • Working experience in logistics / freight forwarding industry
  • Tenacity to do what is necessary to meet on-time deliveries
  • Multi-tasking: expediting, analysis, reporting simultaneously
