Description

  • Our New Product Generation organization is focused on Protein and Cell biology solution for breakthrough discoveries.

  • Platforms include High Content Screening, Microplate Readers, Label Free detection, Clone Selection and others.

  • The position is part of the Leadership Team that drives new product introduction cadence and innovation.  The candidate is responsible for the ForteBio product portfolio that is focused on solutions for biologic drug discovery and development. Key products include the Label Free Detection platforms, Cell line Development solutions and novel innovative solutions.

  • The right candidate is able to drive product development to further grow the position of Molecular Devices in this market.

  • Proven track record of successfully launching global life sciences products.

  • Experience with multiple systems solutions e.g., instrument, software, reagents & consumables, and assays.

  • Experience interacting with remote manufacturing in launching new products.

  • Exhibits demonstrated expert knowledge of product development life cycle management

  • Experienced in Lean Product Definition and Development and UX-DNA 

  • Excellent team leader and able to develop strong bench for leadership roles

  • Has demonstrated excellent cross functional communication skills 

  • Is results driven

  • Efficiently works under pressure and deadlines, and works to complete assigned tasks on time and on budget. 

  • Able to respond to changes in process, responsibility, or assignment quickly without losing sight of the overall goal.

Job Requirements



Qualifications

  • Ms. or Ph.D. in Engineering or Life Science and a minimum of 5+ years of senior-level management experience within the life science and/or clinical diagnostic industry.
  • Strong team leadership and group management skills.
  • Previous experience leading R&D organization is required.
  • Strong partnership with product development and systems engineering is preferred.      
  • Proven global experience.
  • Ability to leverage the R&D portfolio against strategy and customer feedback, and lead determining right product roadmap.
  • Proven success in driving system development and in a leadership role.
  • Must be a good team builder who can effectively and efficiently grow the organization to meet business goals.
  • A partnering, consultative and open manner is key to success in this role.
  • Is metrics driven and understands how to institute and maintain process to drive results
